¡Saludos a todos queridas y queridos Pukuhivers! Es todo un placer regresar con una participación más en el concurso “La Voz Cantante”, esta vez en su semana 47. Lo que les traemos en esta ocasión es un cover acústico de la canción “Nights in White Satin” de la legendaria banda The Moody Blues, ellos son oriundos de Birmingham, U.K y se mantienen activos desde el año 1964, por lo que ya se están acercando a los 60 años de carrera, creemos que no existe otra banda que goce de tal antigüedad y este por supuesto no es un dato menor, es totalmente admirable como pueden mantenerse activos haciendo lo que les gusta y aún con la misma calidad.

Esta canción despierta mucha nostalgia en mí, Dina, ya que cuando era muy niña tenía un tío que nos visitaba en estas épocas decembrinas y el solía mostrarnos muy buena música, llevaba casetes con éxitos de los años 60, 70 y 80, lo que en Venezuela se conocen como “chatarritas”, y este exitazo por supuesto estaba allí incluido. Mi tío nos enseñó muchos valores musicales que en ese momento quizá no sabíamos apreciar pero que ahora veo como un tesoro que cobra más valor a medida que pasan los años.

Seguimos asumiendo el reto de cantar en inglés y esperamos mejorar en lo sucesivo, ya no solo se trata de intentar cantar y tocar bien, sino que ahora debemos aprender lo más que podamos un nuevo idioma ¿Emocionante?, por supuesto que sí. Esperamos que nuestra versión de esta canción sea del agrado de todos.

Greetings to all dear Pukuhivers! It is a pleasure to be back with one more participation in the contest "La Voz Cantante", this time in its 47th week. What we bring you this time is an acoustic cover of the song "Nights in White Satin" by the legendary band The Moody Blues, they are originally from Birmingham, U.K and have been active since 1964, so they are already approaching 60 years of career, we believe that there is no other band that enjoys such antiquity and this of course is not a minor fact, it is totally admirable how they can stay active doing what they like and still with the same quality.

This song awakens a lot of nostalgia in me, Dina, because when I was a child I had an uncle who used to visit us during the Christmas season and he used to show us very good music, he had cassettes with hits from the 60's, 70's and 80's, what in Venezuela are known as "chatarritas", and this hit was of course included there. My uncle taught us many musical values that at that time perhaps we did not know how to appreciate but that now I see as a treasure that becomes more valuable as the years go by.

We continue to take on the challenge of singing in English and we hope to improve in the future, it is no longer just about trying to sing and play well, but now we must learn as much as we can of a new language. We hope that our version of this song will be to everyone's liking.
