Review - The Witch @musicandreview (With Spoilers)

Hi #hive and #threespeak friends! We are Omar and Dina from @musicandreview, and this time we want to share with you a review of the movie The Witch.

The Witch is a 2015 film of the genre Supernatural Horror. Directed by Robert Eggers and starring the young promise of that time and current star Anya Taylor-Joy. The Witch takes us to the 17th century and New England, where a Puritan family composed of father, mother and 4 children is expelled from their colony after religious differences and therefore, they are forced to live in exile on the outskirts of a vast and lonely forest where they will face evil forces that are beyond their understanding.

The Witch, o La Bruja para Latinoamerica y España es una película del año 2015 del genero Terror sobrenatural de época. Dirigida por Robert Eggers y protagonizada por la joven promesa de esa época y actual estrella Anya Taylor-Joy. The Witch nos traslada al siglo 17 y a Nueva Inglaterra, donde una familia puritana integrada por el padre, la madre y 4 hijos es expulsada de su colonia luego de diferencias religiosas y por ende, se ven obligados a vivir en el exilio en las afueras de un extenso y solitario bosque donde se enfrentaran a fuerzas del mal que están más allá de su comprensión.

It is a controversial film from a religious point of view in which it would seem that evil has a great advantage over good, despite the prayers of this family, it was eventually possessed and corrupted. It is suspenseful and at some points leads to despair for those watching.

It starts off a bit slow, but that doesn't overshadow this incredible, dark film that we have loved and is one of our favorites so far.

Es una película controversial desde el punto de vista religioso en el que pareciera que el mal tiene gran ventaja sobre el bien, a pesar de las oraciones de esta familia, fue finalmente poseída y corrompida. Está llena de suspenso y en algunos puntos llevan a la desesperación de quienes la observan.

Empieza un poco lenta, pero ello no opaca esta increíble y oscura película que nos ha encantado y es de nuestras favoritas hasta el momento.
