We are very close to Christmas and although in this region of the world the heat increases with each passing day, we know that winter in other places adorns these dates and generates an atmosphere worthy of Christmas celebrations and of course the love for others is usually accentuated. Here winter arrives in the middle of the year, it is usually quite cold and very humid, but, although we come from a country where winter is represented by rains and not by low temperatures, we have learned to appreciate the pleasant cold and it is enough to wrap up warm to regulate the temperature, we have understood that performing activities under these circumstances is much more comfortable than with the embracing heat.

And well, actually I tell you these things about what winter is for us because the song I bring you has nothing to do with the theme of the week, in fact I sing alone again since Dina is still not fully recovered and this was the song that I could remember that I could possibly sing, could I really, because the truth is I am not very happy with the result, I did not have much time to prepare and practice it, I feel I could sing better but it will be you who will give me your impressions about it.

I used to play this song on the bass with a group of friends with whom we occasionally met to do covers and hang out, it is by the Mexican band Café Tacvba and it is one of the most recognized of their songs, its lyrics are beautiful, it talks about how much a loved one can mean and I love how the composer expresses his feelings, apparently simple but very sincere.

Estamos muy cerca de la navidad y aunque en esta región del mundo el calor aumenta cada día que pasa, sabemos que el invierno en otros lugares adorna estas fechas y genera un ambiente digno de fiestas decembrinas y por supuesto el amor al prójimo suele acentuarse. Aquí el invierno llega a mitad de año, suele ser bastante frío y con mucha humedad, pero, aunque venimos de un país en el que el invierno está representado por lluvias y no por bajas temperaturas, hemos sabido apreciar el agradable frío y nos basta con abrigarnos para regular la temperatura, hemos entendido que realizar las actividades bajo estas circunstancias es mucho más cómodo que con el abrazador calor.

Y bueno, en realidad les cuento estas cosas de lo que es el invierno para nosotros porque la canción que les traigo no tiene nada que ver con la temática de la semana, de hecho vuelvo a cantar solo ya que Dina aún no se recupera del todo y esta fue la canción que pude recordar que posiblemente podía cantar, ¿en realidad pude?, pues la verdad no estoy muy conforme con el resultado, no tuve mucho tiempo para prepararla y practicarla, siento que pude cantar mejor pero ya serán ustedes quienes me den sus impresiones al respecto.

Esta canción solía tocarla en el bajo con un grupo de amigos con los que ocasionalmente nos reuníamos para hacer covers y pasar el rato, es de la banda mexicana Café Tacvba y es de las más reconocidas de sus canciones, su letra es hermosa, habla de lo mucho que puede significar un ser amado y me encanta como el compositor expresa sus sentimientos, aparentemente simple pero muy sincero.
