Press conference in honor of Mayell Hernandez/Rueda de prensa en honor a Mayell Hernandez[ENG/ESP]

Some time ago, within the spaces of the Experimental University of the Arts of Venezuela, an event occurred that shook each of the companions who inhabit the university; the death of Mayell Hernandez, a fellow student who was the victim of a femicide caused by the police officer William Enrique Infante Borges (35), the alleged murderer of Mayell Hernández, a UNEARTE student murdered on September 3, 2018 at her residence, located in Charallave, Miranda state.

Hace tiempo dentro de los espacios de la Universidad Experimental de las Artes de Venezuela, sucedió un hecho que nos estremeció a cada uno de los compañeros que habitamos la universidad; la muerte de Mayell Hernandez, una compañera de estudios que fue víctima de un femicidio causado por el policía William Enrique Infante Borges (35), presunto homicida de Mayell Hernández, estudiante de la UNEARTE asesinada el 3 de septiembre del año 2018 en su residencia, ubicada en Charallave, estado Miranda.

An event that caused a great impact for all the student community, especially those closest to it, who already knew what our late friend was going through with her ex-partner. Her friends always advised her not to return to her ex-partner, but her excuse was that she was doing it for her daughter and her family well-being.

Un suceso que causo un gran impacto por oda la comunidad estudiantil, sobre todo a los mas cercanos a ella, los cuales ya sabían por lo que estaba pasando nuestra difunta amiga junto a su expareja. Sus amigos siempre la aconsejaban que no regresara con su expareja, pero su excusa era que lo hacía por su hija y su bienestar familiar.

Currently the judicial officers have not clarified what will happen to the police officer William Enrique Infante Borges, who is believed to have contact within those structures, that is why this event is held at UNEARTE by the rector Alejandrina Reyes and his sister where a press conference is given and a performance is presented to request answers from the authorities.

En la actualidad los encargados judiciales, no han aclarado que pasara con el policía William Enrique Infante Borges, el cual se cree que tiene contacto dentro de esas estructuras, por eso es que se realiza este evento en la UNEARTE por parte de la rectora Alejandrina Reyes y su hermana donde se da una rueda de prensa y se presenta un performance para solicitar respuestas por las autoridades.

In my case, I supported this event with the camera, I think that among artists we must support these cases, we cannot remain with folded hands and I believe that audiovisual is a great support to expand the claim to what happened, without further saying anything to them. I present some statements from her sister along with a performance made by her friends.

En mi caso apoyé con la cámara este suceso, pienso que entre los artistas debemos apoyar estos casos, no podemos quedarnos con las manos cruzadas y creo que audiovisual es un gran apoyo para expandir el reclamo ante lo sucedido, sin más nada que decirles, les presento algunas declaraciones de su hermana junto a un performance realizado por sus amigas.
