The Emperor - The Vintage Collection 200

En 2021, Hasbro lanzó esta figura del Emperador Palpatine después de mucha insistencia por parte de los coleccionistas. Pero, ¿podrían creer que es el 90% de una figura del 2012? Se esperaba que reutilizaran partes, pero no casi la figura completa.

In 2021, Hasbro released this Emperor Palpatine figure after much insistence from collectors. But would you believe it's 90% of a 2012 figure? They expected to reuse parts, but not nearly the entire figure.

Dicho esto, el molde anterior funciona perfectamente para la de este Emperador. La imagen final se ve muy bien tanto dentro como fuera del paquete. Dudo que algún coleccionista realmente pueda quejarse (salvo por lo que se comentó al inicio de la publicación). A pesar de sus limitaciones, el Emperador es un acierto de la colección Vintage. Hasbro hizo un gran trabajo al convertir la versión anterior de la trilogía de Darth Sidious en la trilogía original del Emperador Palpatine. Hicieron una nueva túnica y una nueva escultura de la cabeza y la cintura. También manejan dos manos intercambiables con rayos de la Fuerza. Pero cuando se trata de articulaciones, no tiene cadera giratoria, articulaciones esféricas, muñecas esféricas ni tobillos móviles.

That said, the above mold works perfectly for this Emperor's mold. The final image looks great both in and out of the package. I doubt any collector can really complain (except for what was commented at the beginning of the post). Despite its limitations, the Emperor is a hit with the Vintage collection. Hasbro did a great job converting the earlier version of the Darth Sidious trilogy into the original Emperor Palpatine trilogy. They made a new robe, and a new head and waist sculpt. They also manage two interchangeable hands with Force lightning bolts. But when it comes to joints, he has no swivel hip, ball joints, ball wrists, or movable ankles.

Enfocándose en el rostro, básicamente es un retrato perfecto. El inconveniente que le encuentro, es que tal vez la expresión utilizada no permite exhibirla en distintas situaciones. Su expresión está basada en la escena donde le lanza los rayos a Luke, así que pues es la única forma en la que va a lucir al exhibirla. Ahora, debo conseguir a Luke...

Focusing on the face, it is basically a perfect portrait. The drawback is that the expression used does not allow it to be displayed in different situations. The expression is based on the scene where the lightning bolts are thrown at Luke, so that's the only way it will look on display. Now, I must get Luke...

Otro aspecto que debe abordarse, es el color del emperador. El personaje en la pantalla tienen piel gris y algo ceniza. Por el contrario, esta figura tiene un bonito bronceado. Desafortunadamente, esto es obvio y desencaja (claro, si eres muy crítico). Sin embargo, el tallado es tan excelente que los tonos de piel pueden pasarse por alto. El emperador trae consigo un bastón. Tiene un hermoso diseño y cabe perfectamente en la mano aunque se siente un poco suelto, pero es un accesorio imprescindible para el personaje del Emperador Palpatine de la trilogía original, por lo que me agradó que lo agregaran.

Another aspect of being addressed is the color of the Emperor. The character on the screen has gray and somewhat ashy skin. In contrast, this figure has a nice tan. Unfortunately, this is obvious and off-putting (of course, if you are very critical). However, the carving is so excellent that the skin tones can be overlooked. The Emperor brings with him a walking stick. It's beautifully designed and fits perfectly in hand. Although it feels a bit lost, it's a must-have accessory for Emperor Palpatine's character from the original trilogy, so I was pleased they added it.

La figura del emperador no es perfecta, pero es un buen complemento perfecto para la colección considerando los pequeños detalles.

The emperor figure is not perfect, but it is an excellent ideal addition to the collection considering the small details.
