    # Hello Hive This is the last phase of our corn processing from farm to storage now. Yesterday we were all out with one more task to be carried out for our harvested corns to be moved to storage.

I am so glad that technology has made a lot of things easier these days, such that there are categories of machines that now make some of our work very much easier. From using a tractor to cultivate the land to now using this machine to peel the corn.

I can’t imagine how long we would be needing to peel this corn by hand. Hand peeling hurts the fingers, and it is time-consuming. Having completed the harvesting of the corns, we have sun dried everything to take out more of the moisture content before storage.

The machines for peeling the corns aren’t readily available, as we have only a few individuals that own them. Even the government agriculture office here does not have it. These individuals have purchased this personal tool for business purposes. During farming time, they move the machines about peeling different kinds of crops for people.

I like the fact that the machine is multifunctional and can peel other types of grains as well. It uses diesel, and since the price of diesel is on the high side, we have paid at least $30 to get our corns peeled. The cost of transporting the machines to our location and their labor fee.

This is their own job, in which they go about peeling corn and other farm products for people in exchange for money. We had booked an appointment earlier, and they gave us a possible date to come peel our corn in our home. I almost thought that the peeling would be totally stressful, but I guess I was wrong. There is a lot of sorting to be done, separating the corns and removing dirt, which constitute the last part of the task. You will see me blowing the corn against the wind in the video to remove dirt.

We had equally purchased storage sacks from the stores, which were used to fill up the corns for storage. It took us about 7 hours to get this done, and I'm glad that we have been able to complete tasks on our farm for the first session of farming corn for the year.

A whole lot has been done so far and I have learnt a lot about growing crops in large scale, no wonder the bigger companies find agriculture very easy. If only i can get access to a personal tractor, this kind of peeling machine and a few other items plus some free lands for farming since the one we have worked on was on lease, it will reduce the cost of production and the lots of money we have spent so far

Having to farm and produce more food as needed in the country would have been easier, alot of people needs this kind of support in order to engage in farming activities. We have experienced the worst kind of inflation this year and food became so expensive like gold, alot of people are finding it difficult to eat and here is a solution to food scarcity of only people can farm and with the right equipments.
