Y he prometido cuidarla
Y he prometido cuidarla
Para que siempre esté cerca de mí
Para que nunca se vaya
We are back this week with the theme "Lost" and I thought it was an excellent idea to choose the song "Flor pálida" by the Cuban singer-songwriter Polo Montañez that years later was covered by Mark Anthony and talks about a "Flower" that was lost, sad and desolate and was found by a man who gave her all his love making her reach her maximum splendor, it is a very beautiful poem made song.
This song was recorded for her second and last studio album titled "Guitarra mía" in 2002.
Pale flower.
I found a flower, one day on the road
That appeared withered and leafless
Already almost pale, drowned in a sigh
I took it to my garden to take care of it
That flower of sleeping petals
Which I care for today with all my soul
It regained the color it had lost
Because it found a caretaker to water it
I put a little bit of love in it
I was sheltering it in my soul
And in the winter I gave her warmth
So that it would not be damaged
Of that flower, today, the owner is me
And I have promised to take care of it
So that no one steals its color
So that it will never go away
From that flower so many things were born
The love that she had lost was born
And with the sunlight the shadow went away
And with the shadow, the distance and the oblivion
I put a little bit of love in her
I kept her warm in my soul
And in the winter I gave her warmth
So that it would not be damaged
Of that flower, today, the owner is me
And I have promised to take care of it
So that it will always be close to me
So that it will never go away
