Hive Open mic Week 129 | Cover "Mi esperanza"

Sentirnos seguros y tener la plena libertad de ser nosotros mismos es una de las cosas que más queremos en la vida. Para mí hay un lugar y un ser que puede brindarme esa seguridad por completo pues nunca me falla y ese es Dios.

Este domingo mi esposo y yo pasamos por una situación bien desagradable que literalmente nos puso a correr que me dejó meditando mucho en lo que pudiera haber pasado pero que gracias a Dios quedó en un recuerdo del que quizás podemos reírnos más adelante cuando se nos pase el susto.

Resulta que salimos muy tarde de un ensayo de la banda dónde mi esposo es guitarrista y en el camino a casa 3 motos con 5 hombres a bordo nos emboscaron para quitarnos nuestras pertenencias, entre la desesperación de perder nuestro medio de trabajo (celulares) mi esposo decidió que correr era una buena idea, afortunadamente no nos siguieron y logramos escondernos en un lugar a salvo y estamos bien que es lo que importa.

No pude de dejar de agradecer que estamos vivos y aún conservamos nuestras pertenencias, pero eso es lo que menos me preocupaba cuando vivíamos ese momento, para mí la prioridad era salir viva de allí y poder ver a mi hijo otra vez.

A qué quiero llegar contándoles esta experiencia, bueno que quizás cuando perdemos todo lo que es importante para nosotros nos sentimos perdidos, abrumados y además miramos un futuro incierto, pero ese día aprendí que mientras tengamos vida tenemos todo, porque las cosas sucederan cómo tengan que suceder y ya, queda de parte nuestra confiar en los procesos y que detrás de la nube gris se esconde un hermoso arcoiris para nosostros.

Escogí esta canción porque me hace sentir paz, la seguridad de que mi Dios tiene cuidado de cada paso que doy y no mejor sentimiento que el sentirme protegida por El.

No quiero despedirme sin antes felicitar a @ruthlopez por tener la responsabilidad de elegir el tema de la semana, Felicidades por tu gran talento.

Feeling secure and having the full freedom to be ourselves is one of the things we want most in life. For me there is one place and one being that can give me that security completely because it never fails me and that is God.

This Sunday my husband and I went through a very unpleasant situation that literally set us running that left me pondering a lot about what could have happened but thank God it remained a memory that maybe we can laugh about later when we get over the scare.

It turns out that we left very late from a rehearsal of the band where my husband is a guitarist and on the way home 3 motorcycles with 5 men on board ambushed us to take our belongings, between the despair of losing our means of work (cell phones) my husband decided that running was a good idea, fortunately they did not follow us and we managed to hide in a safe place and we are fine which is what matters.

I could not help but be thankful that we are alive and we still have our belongings, but that is what I was less concerned about when we lived that moment, for me the priority was to get out of there alive and to be able to see my son again.

What I want to get to by telling you this experience, well maybe when we lose everything that is important to us we feel lost, overwhelmed and also look at an uncertain future, but that day I learned that as long as we have life we have everything, because things will happen how they have to happen and now, it is up to us to trust in the processes and that behind the gray cloud hides a beautiful rainbow for us.

I chose this song because it makes me feel peace, the security that my God takes care of every step I take and there is no better feeling than feeling protected by Him.
