Yo no solía disfrutar de la música de mi país, estaba envuelta con las canciones que estaban de moda siempre y no le daba la oportunidad de escuchar las canciones emblemáticas de mi país, si bien en algún momento las escuché, no eran parte de mi playlist.

Cuando mi esposo me hace la invitación de ir a los ensayos del coro sinfónico de mi país le dió un vuelco sorprendente a mi vida musical, me quedé impactada al escuchar piezas musicales Venezolanas que nunca había escuchado y además arreglos que se me hacían tan difíciles y complicados de cantar que no tardé mucho en pertenecer al coro.

Tuve que estudiar un montón de piezas que el común de los Venezolanos no conocen, no sabía que existían compositores tan destacados, definitivamente me estaba perdiendo de mucho y creanme que aún sigo aprendiendo.

I used to not enjoy the music of my country, I was involved with the songs that were always in fashion and did not give the opportunity to listen to the emblematic songs of my country, although at some point I heard them, they were not part of my playlist.

When my husband invited me to go to the rehearsals of the symphonic choir of my country, it gave a surprising turn to my musical life, I was shocked to hear Venezuelan musical pieces that I had never heard and also arrangements that were so difficult and complicated to sing that it did not take long to belong to the choir.

I had to study a lot of pieces that the common Venezuelans do not know, I did not know that there were so outstanding composers, I was definitely missing a lot and believe me I'm still learning.

Con la llegada de la crisis y las múltiples protestas que se presentaron en mi país, estás canciones tomaron mucho sentido, tal como "Venezuela", "Pajarillo" por supuesto Caballo viejo, dicen por ahí que no sabes lo que tienes hasta que lo pierdes y al sentir que toda era un caos, que estaba viendo partir a muchas personas que amaba el amor por mi tierra se hizo aún más fuerte y es increíble como las canciones pueden hablar tantas verdades en tan sólo pocos minutos.

Para esta canción tuve que aprender algo nuevo en la guitarra y casi pierdo la cabeza, por un momento pensé que no me iba a salir, pero a pesar de la frustración que tuve y los contratiempos que nunca faltan a la hora de grabar pude finalmente presentarles este cover que espero que como siempre les digo, espero que lo disfruten.

With the arrival of the crisis and the multiple protests that occurred in my country, these songs made a lot of sense, such as "Venezuela", "Pajarillo" of course Caballo viejo, they say that you don't know what you have until you lose it and when I felt that everything was in chaos, that I was seeing many people that I loved leaving, the love for my land became even stronger and it is incredible how songs can speak so many truths in just a few minutes.

For this song I had to learn something new on the guitar and I almost lost my mind, for a moment I thought it was not going to come out, but despite the frustration I had and the setbacks that are never lacking when it comes to recording I was finally able to present this cover that I hope that as I always tell you, I hope you enjoy it.
