Do you remember your first steps on the Hive platform? Those little clumsy ones what made you both excited and scared at the same time. When the feeling of being lost and how to start prevailed?
    I do remember.

It was one of the last days of June when I joined and I still remember that I didn't know anything. I was not sure where to post. Where to explore, where to search. What to write, and what should be a quality post. And I remember as well that I didn't start to engage from the beginning. I didn't know how important it was.

Somehow, it got everything more natural. Word by word, slowly you start to talk, to interact, to meet people and you start to enjoy every connection. I already met some valuable people, interacted and had a good time. At the end of October, I saw a post, which had already been published in July, but I only saw it later. The title was "5 tips for beginners on Hive", I read it and as I found it helpful I commented. The host of the post, @zuerich replied, followed me and from then upvoted the majority of my posts. It gave me motivation not to stop and from day to day try to improve.

    Every small step counts

Of course, I have had a lot of other helpers who encouraged me with comments and upvotes, so as time went on, my HP grew to 3K, which in six months might not be so bad. Every Hive token I got I powered up, but that was still not enough to make your vote visible to someone. If you see a good post and you want to make a nice sign of appreciation, apart from encouraging with words, your upvote has to be a bit bigger, right? I was commenting and upvoting content of others every day, made new friendships, but after a few upvotes, my vote wasn't worthy enough. Here comes again to the scene, @zuerich. One week ago, he asked who wants some delegation for curation. What? Just like that? In half an hour I received a really nice delegation from him of 2,000 HP.

I no time, I decided that I will practice some music that could be a sign of appreciation, saying thank you through music for that received delegation. As Dvorak is one of his favourite composers, I prepared the famous Humoresque in G flat major. You can see it in the video, me playing it on the piano.

As always, in every activity you do, it is easier if you are not alone. Going your own way is okay, but building community is more important. One thing that is sure to be repeated so many times on this platform and what makes #hive different is the engagement and supporting each other. And it's true. I have met so many dear people, interesting, everyone is different in their own way, but I see no other way for this community to succeed than to walk together.

How did you start your journey in hive? Was it easy, or you needed time to start to move around, write, comment, support. Did you receive the support from others, did you support others, or walked alone? Let us know your story. Thank you for your valuable time spent in this little post, hope you will have a great day here.
