The days... The plural of each interval of light between two successive nights. Does it sound like a nice definition? Or should we use a similar interpretation, something like the time between sunrise and sunset?
I tend to like more the following option, provided from the same place from where I quoted the first two ones: a division of time equal to 24 hours and representing the average length of the period during which the earth makes one rotation on its axis.

    Calm sea yesterday morning

My old, Oxford wordlpower dictionary, from the last century, says that a day is a period of 24 hours, of which seven make up a week. Without further meaningless searching for a better definition, I should just accept the fact that this unit of time, in which we measure the progress of existence in the past, present, and future reached a nice number of my presence in HIVE. 365 days ago it was not a big deal for me and I couldn't imagine it will be. Today maybe it is.

Anyway, anniversary or not, days are here not just to measure the time. They are here to provide us with new opportunities...like learning. (Does my professional deformations talks now?). Officially, my summer holidays have started and I should just enjoy the beach... like I did yesterday morning... without working and practicing. Just swimming and sunbathing.

The path that leads to a calm place

However, this idyllic part of the day finished differently. Arriving home, the school of my son called to bring them some paperwork that was missing and the music school also needed his enrollment. Adiós calm morning.

Ok, I shouldn't complain a lot, after lunch, a nice siesta found its way to my holiday schedule. Also coffee. And Hive. And piano... Especially after an awesome finding, piano scores of one of the minimalistic composers. Ludovico Einaudi. I immediately started to practice one of the pieces, titled I Giorni. In Italian, it means the days.

I considered it as a perfect match for today's post. I should remember how my first year here passed, but will not write anything more. If you like, listen to the music, Ludovico creates mesmerizing pieces, like this one.

    P.S. Happy hardfork day :)
