    About :

Today I want to share this compositional exercise that I began with the creation of a short story of suspense and mystery. The track I composed begins with the sharp and tenuto sound of a row of violins that insistently accompanies a mysterious and icy melody of fifths played by the piano. Low frequency sounds emerge from nowhere to add more tension to the sequence. Finally the broken arpeggios of the piano lead the short work to its end.

Perhaps accompanying the reading of the story that inspired me to produce this musical texture, will make your skin crawl...

She was a happy and outgoing girl, until the day everything changed.
She used to play in the garden every afternoon while Mom washed the dishes and watched me from the kitchen window.
One particular afternoon the neighbor was listening to music at a very high volume, so loud that she could not hear the cars passing by on the avenue.
from my garden you could only hear that metallic and noisy sound that electric guitars produce.
I looked towards the kitchen to tell mom that she couldn't stand the music and then I saw that shadow behind her...
little by little she was getting closer... I was yelling at mom to warn her of the danger but she wouldn't listen to me... A few seconds later I could see a man
wearing a mask and in his hand, a hammer... After splashing my mother's blood on the window, the man quickly fled...
the music stopped playing... everything was silent as if time had stopped... maybe an hour passed and I couldn't move until
that I began to hear a voice that told me -Daughter, what's wrong with you? Daughter, answer me! -It was my father who just came from his work...

Forty years after that terrible day, my father died. Before giving his last breath he handed me an envelope with an old key and,
Pointing to an old trunk, he muttered "For..."

In the trunk there was only a mask and a hammer.
