    About :

Greetings! Here I am very happy to be able to spend another week with you. Today I play a piano arrangement that I have made of the Venezuelan waltz A un Amigo; by the Venezuelan doctor and composer Henry Martínez.

For a long time of my life, Venezuelan music has held an important place in my heart, I remember very clearly the first time I heard a piano resonating with the flavor of our music; I was just arrived in the beautiful twilight land, it was a cold morning and the silence of the conservatory was broken, but I do not say broken, overwhelmed by an explosion of sound; a pianist was getting ready to participate in the "El Piano Venezolano" contest, and very early that morning he practiced "Devil on the Loose"... That music called me... Not because of the title (¡Sape Gato! hehehe) but because of its lively and colorful sound... Just like a piece of metal that is attracted by a magnet, that's how I was attracted to the cubicle where the good Jesús Almao practicing... After introducing myself and exchanging a few words with him, I didn't hesitate to ask him for the scores to photocopy them... From that day on, Venezuelan music entered my heart never to leave...

I hope that by listening to this song you can feel all the emotion that I experienced the first time I was touched by Venezuelan music. Bye!

    SPANISH VERSION

Saludos!

Esa música me llamó...

Chau!
