    About :

The piece that I am sharing with you today is a composition by Christoph von Schmidt (Germany, 1768-1854) and adapted by Johann A. P. Schulz (1747-1800), entitled "Came, Little Children". This song narrates, in tender stanzas, the familiar image of the manger with everyone adoring the newborn baby Jesus.

When I was a child, the Christmas music that we played at home was recorded on a cassette, for this interpretation of "Came, Little Children" I wanted to reproduce exactly that, that thick timbre typical of magnetic tape, for this I used a sound from Tape piano : Felt Cassette from the folks at LABS.

Now, this whole thing got me thinking about the meaning of Christmas...

Although in general terms, in the Christian West, December is received as a month of shopping, joy and meeting, December 25 is the day that makes this month so special, since it commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ and the beginning of Christmas. In many homes around the world, Christmas has a very deep meaning that is intertwined with the values of family and friendship. The birth of Jesus takes place in a humble manger devoid of luxuries but overflowing with love and joy, and that is precisely what should shine at Christmas, family, love, friendship and peace, and of course, the faith and hope.

I say goodbye Peace and good!

    SPANISH VERSION

A. P. Schulz (1747-1800), titulada "Came, Little Children".

      Me despido ¡Paz y bien!
