Hello Hive,
My best friend Soraya gave me this coffee, a product from her home country Réunion Island. I'm gonna share my thoughts of it as I make myself a cuppa in the attached vlog.
However, before opening this package, I'm reminiscing on the first time I met Soraya.
I introduced myself, and stated that I'm from Jamaica.
Soraya said: "I'm from an island too."
I asked: "An island like England, or an island like Jamaica?"
She laughed and replied: "Réunion Island, not as well known as Jamaica, but a proper island like Jamaica; known for its volcanic and rainforest regions, coffee, vanilla, and that it's an overseas department and region of France in the Indian Ocean."
Soraya then asked if I heard of Mauritius, and I said, oh, yes! She said, "Réunion Island is close to Mauritius," and I said ok!
Ever since, whenever Soraya goes back home to Rèunion, she always takes a pack of this "le Lion Tradition Vanille Naturelle Coffee".
The Coffee from Réunion is known as Bourbon Pointu Café: Here's a little about the history and what makes this coffee so exotic.
'It's reported that Bourbon Pointu Café is the second most expensive coffee in the world behind Kopi Luwak, and here I am, making and pouring myself a cup.'
Pardon my French! You'll see what I mean🤣.
The Bourbon Pointu name is derived from the pointy shape of the coffee beans, however, in this vlog my review is of it's coffee beans.
In an informal setting and tone, I'll give you my take on the Vanilla Flavoured Réunion Coffee from a highly reputable brand called le Lio, while a sip from an espresso cup. It's so delicate and delicious, that I took 6 mins to savour the taste.
I hope you like my little vlog, and if you ever tried any of Réunion Island coffee, please drop me a comment:)
Thank you for stopping by!
