So Rat snake is also one of them.
My father has got the necessary skills to catch both venomous and non-venomous snakes. But I always keep a reasonable distance from snakes. In the first place, it looks scary to me and I dont know why just looking at them instill a sense of fear in me.
But rat snake is different, it is non-venomous. But its size is huge as you can see from the video. So I tried to capture its video when it slowly started moving from the stockpile of broken bricks in our backyard.
This one appears to be an old one, quite sober and innocuous. So I found myself comfortable taking video of its movement from a close quarter. However, I asked my father to stand by my side, to take care of it in case he goes aggressive.
My father has a strong opinion that snakes should not be killed regardless of whether venomous or non-venomous they are, they are part of this ecosystem they feed on rodents, and help farmers.
So it was a nice and docile encounter with a Rat snake. For the first time, I gathered the courage to go close to a snake.
That's all. Thank you.
