La creatividad es fundamental para ser asertivos en el lenguaje visual, con nuestro ingenio podemos acentuar lo que queremos expresar como artistas en nuestras fotos. Existen muchos trucos sencillos para aplicar o ajustar a nuestro trabajo y así transmitir una sensación determinada.

Creativity is fundamental to be assertive in visual language, with our ingenuity we can accentuate what we want to express as artists in our photos. There are many simple tricks to apply or adjust to our work to convey a certain feeling.

Viendo algunas fotos de autorretrato con movimiento que hice anteriormente para un escrito, se me vino a la mente realizar unas nuevas. Esta vez quise mostrarles como edité estas imágenes. En el video voy comentando ciertas ideas que los pueden ayudar a mejorar su perspectiva como creadores de imágenes.

Seeing pictures of self-portraits with movement that I did before for a writing, it came to my mind to make some new ones. This time I wanted to show you how I edited these images. In the video I will discuss some ideas that can help you to improve your perspective as image creators.

En esta oportunidad, mi meta era crear fotos que transmitieran las sensaciones que uno padece cuando sufre de insomnio por mucho tiempo. Para ello tenía muchas opciones. Podía producir todo un escenario que incluyera maquillaje, locación, iluminación, para graficar con imágenes tal enfermedad. Otra alternativa era hacerlo añadiendo elementos con Photoshop en la fotografía. Por último, podía abogar al ingenio de lo que nos permiten las cámaras.

This time, my goal was to create photos that convey the sensations that you feel when you suffer from insomnia for a long time. To do this, I had many options. I could produce a whole scenario, including makeup, location, lighting, to depict with images such a disease. Another alternative was to do it by adding Photoshop elements to the photograph. Lastly, I could advocate the ingenuity of what cameras allow us to do.

Yo me fui por el tercer camino. Primero que todo, usé mi teléfono celular Poco M3 en su modo pro, el cual me permite ajustar ciertos parámetros. Modifiqué el tiempo de exposición y lo disminuí. Eso me aseguraba que el movimiento que di a mi cara y también al celular, generara una escena lúgubre, sobre todo porque, como ven en el video, exageré mi reacción ante la cámara.

I chose the third way. First of all, I used my Poco M3 cell phone in its pro mode, which allows me to adjust certain parameters. I modified the exposure time and slowed it down. That ensured that the movement I gave to my face and also to the cell phone, generated a gloomy scene, especially because, as you can see in the video, I exaggerated my reaction to the camera.

Las fotos la tomé estando recostado en mi cama, la iluminación provenía principalmente de la luz que me daba la ventana de mi habitación. No hubo maquillaje, a excepción de mi cara de recién despierto, je, je.

The photos were taken while I was lying on my bed, the lighting came mainly from the window of my room. There was no make-up, except for my wide-awake face, heh, heh.

Como ven, de forma sencilla, pero organizada y con criterio, podemos realizar una sesión donde agudizaremos al máximo nuestro tema a producir. Tú puedes lograr mejores fotos que estas y también un procesado más optimo de la imagen con tu editor.

As you can see, in a simple but organized way and with criteria, we can do a session where we will sharpen to the maximum our subject to produce. You can achieve better photos than these and also a more optimal image processing with your editor.
