La siguiente historia surgió como una leyenda urbana, pero hay quienes dicen que fue real, y que el autor del se basó en ella para hacer su historia, estoy hablando de “el Show M”

El hombre se refería al programa como “el Show M” que, por cada una de las propiedades que contó, era simple de detectar como "The New Zoo Revue", un programa infantil de marionetas que se pasaba en televisión por aquellos años.

El hombre cuenta que él, su hermana y una amiga suya eran enormes fans de dicho Espectáculo. Un día, su hermana localizó en una revista un artículo que hacía alusión a este programa:
eran unas preguntas que, de ser contestadas de manera correcta, podían llevar al ganador a lograr un viaje a Disneylandia o una tarjeta que lo acreditaba como integrante oficial del club del programa.
Los 3 chicos respondieron emocionados las preguntas -que como dice hombre, eran difíciles de contestar-, alterando un poco sus respuestas para que "los miembros del club no se diesen cuenta de que estaban copiándose", y las depositaron en el buzón de la correspondencia. Todos menos la amiga del infante.

Desde aquel instante, los chicos comenzaron a recibir cartas una y otra vez, cada una de ellas que contenían cosas como dibujos de los personajes del espectáculo, chistes para chicos, juegos , etcétera.
Unos meses después, recibieron una noticia increíble: El autobús del espectáculo pasaría por su pueblo el domingo de dicha semana, y en él estarían los personajes del programa para que pudiesen conocerlos y jugar con ellos.

El domingo por la mañana, los chicos se alistaron bastante temprano para visitar ver el dicho autobús. No obstante, la hermana del narrador de la historia había ido a una pijamada la noche anterior, por lo cual tenían que recogerla. Se demoró tanto que la amiga del infante tomó la decisión de adelantarse.
Tras 2 horas de espera por su hermana, el infante por fin fue llevado por sus papás al sitio donde se mencionó que estaría el bus. Lo primero que hizo fue buscar a su amiga, sin embargo no la vio;lo que localizó una multitud. Al inicio creían que los personajes se hallaban detrás del gentío, sin embargo no se les veía en ningún sitio.

Entre ellos, estaba la madre de su amiga. Al hallarse con ella, le contó a la mamá de los chicos que el autobús sí habían estado allí, y un individuo con un traje de animal le dijo que se llevarían a los pequeños a filmar un capítulo para el programa, para que los padres se quedaran tranquilos les dijeron que otro autobús llegaría para los representantes.
El autobús había partido con los pequeños, y entre ellos, estaba la amiga del narrador, los padres estaban esperando ese autobús sin embargo nunca llegó, las horas pasaban y todos se estaban desesperando.

Conforme pasaban las horas la mujer se puso cada vez más nerviosa. Nunca vieron pasar más buses; en su lugar, si muchos carros de policía.

Al día siguiente, el narrador, con sentimientos encontrados, se encontró esperando a que iniciara el show en la televisión.

Luego de la música del opening, la cámara del programa enfocó a uno de los personajes, que les pidió a los niños que hicieran que sus padres se acercaran a ver la pantalla.
El personaje les dijo a los padres que el show nunca había enviado tarjetas ni publicado el artículo que los niños vieron muchos meses atrás en aquella revista. Los padres de la niña lloraron muchísimo.
Meses después. Los padres de la niña desaparecida recibieron un sobre, en el que había una tarjeta que acreditaba a su hija como miembro élite del club de fans.

En ella también había un rollo de cámara, en el que se mostraba a la niña, y otro de los chicos que se subió al autobús, mano a mano sonriendo al lado de un hombre disfrazado de conejo. En el video, la niña saludaba y decía alegremente:

"hola mamá, hola papá. Me gusta mucho este lugar, deseo que pudieran estar acá. Lamento mucho que los otros no hubieran venido. Estoy segura de que les hubiera encantado".

From that moment on, the boys began to receive letters again and again, each one containing things like drawings of the characters from the show, jokes for boys, games, etc.
A few months later, they received incredible news: The bus from the show would pass through their town on Sunday of that week, and the characters from the show would be on it so that they could meet and play with them.

On Sunday morning, the boys got ready quite early to visit the said bus. However, the story's narrator's sister had gone to a sleepover the night before, so they had to pick her up. It took so long that the infant's friend made the decision to go ahead.
After 2 hours of waiting for his sister, the infant was finally taken by his parents to the place where it was mentioned that the bus would be. The first thing he did was look for her friend, but he didn't see her, which led to a crowd. At first they believed that the characters were behind the crowd, however they were nowhere to be seen.

Among them was the mother of his friend. When he met her, he told the boys' mother that the bus had indeed been there, and an individual in an animal suit told him that they would take the little ones to film an episode for the program, so that the parents could calm down, they were told that another bus would arrive for the representatives.

The bus had left with the little ones, and among them was the narrator's friend, the parents were waiting for that bus but it never came, the hours passed and everyone was getting desperate.

As the hours passed, the woman became increasingly nervous. They never saw more buses go by; instead, if many police cars.

The next day, the narrator, with mixed feelings, found himself waiting for the show to start on television.

After the opening music, the program's camera focused on one of the characters, who asked the children to make their parents come closer to see the screen.
The character told the parents that the show had never sent cards or published the article that the children saw many months ago in that magazine. The girl's parents cried a lot.
Months later. The parents of the missing girl received an envelope, in which there was a card accrediting her daughter as an elite member of the fan club.

In it there was also a camera roll, in which the girl was shown, and another of the boys who got on the bus, smiling hand in hand next to a man dressed as a rabbit. In the video, the girl waved and said happily:

"Hi mom, hi dad. I really like this place, I wish you could be here. I'm so sorry the others didn't come. I'm sure they would have loved it."
