Hello Hive Community! Nice to meet you✨🌈

Today, I find myself totally THRILLED because for a very long time I wanted to do two things: to start a Hive blog (I have some friends in the community) and to participate in Vibes Music Competition, and guess what? Today I'm doing BOTH! I'm so happy and soooo nervous! I'm going to start introducing myself: my name is Michelle, I'm a singer currently living in Caracas, Venezuela. I want to thanks to the Vibes crew for creating opportunities and spaces for musicians of all levels and all around the world. My country is suffering a difficult and unfair situation and this kind of spaces represents and scape and a light for us who are living in a complicated environment.

Disney week? A dream! 😍🎶

For those who don't know me (and that means: all of you, hahaha) I'm a Disney total FREAK. Musicals are everything to me, I inhale Disney and exhale Broadway😂 SO, when I heard that this week theme was Disney, I had to jump on it. I chose the song Into the unknown from the movie Frozen II because Elsa is one of my favorite characters: she's powerful, misunderstood and a little bit of a drama queen😅 and also, because of the situation I'm living in my country, I've been feeling connection to the meaning of the song, which is feeling that I'm not where I'm supposed to right now. I feel the urgent need to go out, see new places, maybe live somewhere else for a while and exploring "into the unknown".

This song is BIG, I'll be singing it in my beloved native language, spanish, and maybe you will noticing that I'll be giving Elsa my own "spice", gestures and energy. This song is interpreted originally by Idina Menzel, one of my models and most admired singer and actress. Idina is an inspiration for me, she embraces the characters in a very powerful way, the vocal technique takes a backseat, all of the interpretation is about the feeling. The latino version is interpreted by Carmen Sarahí which is a amazing singer and voiceover actress from Mexico.

I love how in Frozen they give importance to all the women who gave voice to Elsa in the different countries, they show their faces and even inviting them to the Oscars! I find it beautiful and inclusive.

Hoy me siento muy EMOCIONADA porque durante mucho tiempo quise hacer dos cosas: iniciar un blog en Hive (tengo algunos amigos en la comunidad) y participar en el Concurso de Música Vibes, ¿y adivinen qué? ¡Hoy estoy haciendo AMBOS! ¡Estoy feliz y muuuy nerviosa! Voy a empezar presentándome: mi nombre es Michelle, soy una cantante actualmente radicada en Caracas, Venezuela. Quiero agradecer al equipo de Vibes por crear oportunidades y espacios para músicos de todos los niveles y de todo el mundo. Mi país está sufriendo una situación difícil e injusta y este tipo de espacios representan un escape y una luz para quienes vivimos en un entorno complicado.

Para los que no me conocen (o sea, todos, jajaja) soy una FREAK total de Disney. Los musicales lo son todo para mí, inhalo Disney y exhalo Broadway 😂 Entonces, cuando vi que el tema de esta semana era Disney, tuve que correr a hacerlo. Elegí la canción Into the Unknown de la película Frozen II porque Elsa es uno de mis personajes favoritos: es poderosa, incomprendida y un poco drama queen😅 y además, por la situación que estoy viviendo en mi país, he estado sintiendo una conexión con el significado de la canción, que es sentir que no estoy donde se supone que debo estar ahora. Siento la urgente necesidad de salir, ver nuevos lugares, tal vez vivir en otro lugar por un tiempo y explorar "hacia lo desconocido".

Esta es una gran canción, la cantaré en mi idioma nativo, el español, y tal vez noten que le daré a Elsa mi propio "spice", gestos y energía. Esta canción está interpretada originalmente por Idina Menzel, una de mis modelos a seguir y cantante más admirada. Idina es una inspiración para mí, encarna a los personajes de una manera muy poderosa, la técnica vocal pasa a un segundo plano, toda la interpretación gira en torno al sentimiento. La versión latina está interpretada por Carmen Sarahí, una increíble cantante y actriz de doblaje mexicana.

Me encanta como en Frozen le dan importancia a todas las mujeres que le dieron voz a Elsa en los diferentes países, dan la cara y hasta las invitan a los Oscar! Lo encuentro hermoso e inclusivo.
