    ENGLISH

Inefficiency is the banner of an inefficient government, which has plunged a country of immense wealth, with the largest oil reserves in the world, into an unparalleled social crisis.

Destroyed public services, constant blackouts, deficient drinking water supply, miserable salaries, unstable interconnection and, to make our lives more miserable, immense queues for fuel.

Survival is the constant of Venezuelans and has brought out the darkest side of our fellow citizens, in a social cannibalism, corruption is not only of the government, but also of the common individual, who has become a Pharisee of trickery.

Unreasonable price increases, discriminatory charges for services, vaccinations for favours, is the daily life of Venezuelans, in a common and individual society that is self-consuming.

Today, in the video I bring you below, I show you the journey to get 40 litres of fuel in Venezuela, and that despite being in a queue for 12 hours, I did not manage to get petrol.

In an endless queue, with people sleeping in their cars for 72 hours, it is almost impossible to get petrol, without falling into the clutches of corruption, sales of stalls, vaccinating public security officers and reselling petrol, is the only option to get this supply.

Although many of us refuse to fall into the macabre game of corruption, it is the only option we have. 20$ to enter the pump without queuing, 5$ for a stall near the petrol station or 1.5$ per litre of petrol, are the methods to obtain the precious liquid.

The desperation to be able to work and have the logistics of transport, makes us all support the shamelessness of these characters, in a decadent economy, where the outgoings are greater than the income, it is almost superhuman to maintain an enterprise.

But in the end I am committed to my country and although the obstacles are immense, there are more of us hard-working people who do our bit every day so that my Venezuela can move forward.
