Hi Guys! It's me again masterzarlyntv in the hive! For today's video let's talk about Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge! This time the theme is from the Water Element: Kulu Swimhunter!
THE LORE
Kulu Swimhunters are members of a race of squid-like creatures that hunt in packs. They use their multiple tentacles to wield all manner of projectiles, including spears, coral, and even fish. They are very aggressive and are known to traverse oceans, lakes, and rivers, killing for sport and leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. They do not value gold or glory and will ally themselves with whoever promises the greatest opportunity to hunt and kill.
The young boy leaned on the ship's gunwale, staring dreamily into the deep green of the water. His father was a simple fisherman, but the boy fantasized about one day being a naval officer... or perhaps a pirate. Anything but a simple fisherman.
Movement in the water below caught his eye, and he leaned over the gunwale, squinting into the depths. A dark shape rose toward the surface. It was emerald green, with two shining orbs set into its surface. As it drew closer, he realized the orbs were eyes. Tentacles waved in the water around it. A squid, the boy thought. He smiled and watched the creature's ascent with interest.
Suddenly, a tentacle shot out of the water and threw something at the boy. A dead fish struck him hard in the temple. He winced and staggered, but before he could recover, the tentacle wrapped around his neck and yanked him over the side of the boat. The boy landed in the water with a splash and was quickly dragged down into the depths of the ocean.
ABOUT STATS
About its stats, Kulu does not have any abilities from level 1 up to level 10. At level 1, it has 2 ranged attack + 2 Speed and with a 4 health power. At level 5, its speed got doubled and with an additional 2 health power but without additional ranged attacks. Its max level, that's the time that his attacks be doubled with an additional 3 speed and still a 6 health power.
THE RULE SET 🚦
STANDARD RULE:
For this battle, standard rule in which it does not have any modification on the standard game play and its mechanics. All elements are available to play having a total mana cap of 28.
⚔️ MY TEAM ⚔️
There you go, I chose water element for this match! It is one of my fave element paired with a summoner who has an additional speed and shield! I pick monster with different attack type, melee,ranged and magic. Also for the tank, I chose the one who have a trample ability for him to attack another monster once he kilss its target. I also pick monsters with a sneak, opportunity and flying abilities!
THE SUMMONER
For the summoner, I chose Kelya Frendul at level 1. So for this level, he can only summon monster at level 1 only from different rarities. Kelya is a big help in terms of defense and offense since it has an additional Speed and shield!
FIRST POSITION:
For the first position, Diemonshark would be the best fit since hea has a trample ability which can perform another attack on the next enemy whenever it kills its target monster! That's the power of Diemonshark! Can slay 1 or more monster in a row! It is a good tank since it has a speed of 4 + 1 from its summoner! An incredible health power of 7 + a shield of 6 +1 again from Kelya! It is one of my favorite tank aside from Serpent of the eld! Diemonshark at level 5 will now have an additional ability which is enrage! where it increases its melee attack! At level 10, it will now have an additional retaliate ability and with a total of 10 health power.
SECOND POSITION:
Hardy stonefish is a 1 mana monster which have 1 melee attach, 1 speed, 1 shield and 1 health power! I positioned him next to the tank in case Diemonshark will be killed he can able to protect monster next to him and at the same time it can perform an attack! At level 5, he can now have an additional 1 speed and additional toits health. At level 10, Melee,speed and shield also increases and also its health power will now become 3! With just 1 mana you can able to have monster which can attack and protect itself! It is definitely a useful card and best fits for low mana battle!
THIRD POSITION:
Deeplurker who has a ability of opportunity and having 3 melee attack would be great monster for killing its lowest health enemy! It can perform attack from any position. He has a incredible stats at level 1 with 3 melee damage, 2 speed and a 6 health power! In case hardy stone got killed, Deeplurker can be able to be a tank because of its health power. Alt level 6, an additional poison would be added to him and a 4 melee damage! I think its enemy will be afraid of him since it has also a additional 1 shield to protect himself! At level 10, he can now reduce melee damage of its opponent!
FOURTH POSITION:
This time, I chose magic monster with an incredible speed of 3! Ice pixie is a good monster as she can disregard the shield of its opponent and direct attack its health power! It has also a flying ability which increases its chance of evading her opponents! She is now in a good position to protect her health power since he has only 1! At level 5, an additional ability of shattter is added which can destroy the armor of its targeted monster!At level 10, there would be an additional magic damage and an increase in speed and its health power!
FIFTH POSITION:
Here goes are star of the night! Kulu Swimhunter! A 4 mana card which has a 2 ranged attack + 2 speed and a 4 health power! Though he doesn't have any ability, ha can also able to slay opponents because of its speed and its ranged attack! His ranged attack got double whenever it reaches level 10! Speed would be 5, attack of 4 and additional 2 health power!Kulu is in the 2nd to the last position since he can not perform an attack once he is in the first position! I think he is safe in this place and can perform its attack to its enemy!
LAST POSITION:
For the last position, I chose a monster with a flying and a sneak ability! Having a speed of 3 + 1 from its summoner and a 2 health power and only 1 melee attack! He has still a good stat since ha is only a 3 mana card! At level 1 you can enjoy its 2 abilities, sneak and flying! At max level, 4 melee attack and 6 speed! Look at that speed + flying ability, I'm sure its opponent would get mad at him since their attack would be probably missed out!
🛡 THE OPPONENT 🛡
As you can see, the opponent chose fire element and Tarsa as his summoner. Living lava sa the tank followed by Lava Launcher, a range attacker that has the ability to attack even in the first position, a common venari card and Fire elemental. 1 melee and 2 ranged attacker and 1 with no attack but has 3 speed and void armor.

ROUND 1
My teams keep on targeting the Tank of the opponent and Deeplurker was able to kill Fire element with one bang! Thank to the additional shield of Kelya Frendul, Hardy stonefish was able to live even if she was blasted by the fire elemental!
ROUND 2
My team shows unity on killing their enemy, Deep lurker and Kulu is truly a good monster which adds up a big damage on the opponent. The opponent's tank still fighting and defending the team and he was able to kill my precious Diemonshark!. I think there is an error in positioning the venari with no attack.
ROUND 3
Ice Pixie took revenge to the Living Lava! He easily him with just one blow followed by Deeplurker who targets and kill the Venari! As of this round, only Lava Launcher left behind.
ROUND 4
This was the hardest part for Lava Launcher as he may receive all the attack of my team! He still keeps on fighting and he was able to kill my hardystonefish.
ROUND 5
This was the last goodbye of the LAva Launcher. Congrats to my team for having a unity on this match!
💡 MY STRATEGY 💡
For this battle, I pick those monster with different abilities, attack type and with a good speed. For the to be able to maximize their speed, I use Kelya as their summoner for additional speed and Shield! I use tank with an incredible ability in which it attack another monster whenever he kills off his target monster. I put 1 mana cap hardy stoneship with 1 attack,speed, health and shield as support to the tank if it it got killed he was able to receive damage from the opponent. The team I chose shows unity on killing the tank of the opponent. A magic attacker which disregard the shield of the opponent, a Kulu swimhunter that's add an additional 2 damage, a deeplurker which lurks lowest health monster and a sneaky boy pelacor cojurer!
Kulu Swimhunter is a great range attacker in this team as he always focuses on the tank, he does additional damage on killing of the strong defender of the opponent! While my other monster have different target, Kulu keeps on banging the tank and helping his team to get rid of it! Even if he does not have the ability, he chooses to join and defend the team without any fear!
I gues in the next battle battle I will pick another magic attacker to easily finish the match! They are good monster on opponents that likes to pick monster with high shield!
