Hello everyone, hope you're all doing great?,I'm glad that I have the opportunity to participate in Afri- tunes this week. Today, I will be presenting a song By Tope Akinpelu titled Amokoko. The first time I listened to the song was when I was invited to a concert. I love the way they sang it that day, and this prompted me to search for the song, it's been long though.
Amokoko is a Yoruba language in Nigeria, which means THE POTTER in English. The song is all about giving ourselves wholly to God and allowing him to take control over our lives, he's gonna mold us according to his will and when he does that, our life will be more better. In everything we do in life, we should not forget God, we should allow his will to be done in our lives because anything that comes from him is all good.
Chorus
Bi o ba no mi (if You mould me)
Ma ri boo se fe eh eh (I'll look exactly the way You want me to)
Bi o ba mo mi (if You mould)
Aye mi adun wo oh oh (my life will be pleasant to behold)
Sebi Iwo lamo koko aye ni o (but You are the potter of my life)
Oluwa mo mi, mo mi boo se fe (mould me according to Your will)
