Hola amigos de hive! Hoy les voy a enseñar cómo hacer una pulsera con el llamado nudo de serpiente. Esta es otra técnica que aprendí con mi abuela, ella era una mujer que sabía hacer de todo y super talentosa con las manos, sabía tejer con agujas y sin ellas, cosía, hacia hamacas, cocinaba delicioso, por eso, ahora que no está entre nosotros, cada vez que practico lo que me enseñó me trae gratos recuerdos del tiempo que compartí con ella. Por un buen tiempo yo misma realizaba mis pulseras y hacía hasta para vender y regalar. Así que acá que les comparto como realizar este sencillo nudo, el cual es super fácil y puedes practicar hasta con cordones de zapatos y ya después puedes comprar los hilos, cueros, apliques dijes y puedes realizar tus pulseras con esta y otras técnicas.

Hello friends of hive! Today I am going to show you how to make a bracelet with the so called snake knot. This is another technique I learned with my grandmother, she was a woman who knew how to do everything and super talented with her hands, she knew how to weave with needles and without them, she sewed, made hammocks, cooked delicious, so now that she is no longer with us, every time I practice what she taught me it brings back fond memories of the time I shared with her. For a long time I made my own bracelets and even made them to sell and give as gifts. So here I share with you how to make this simple knot, which is super easy and you can practice even with shoelaces and then you can buy the threads, leathers, applique charms and you can make your bracelets with this and other techniques.

Para estas pulseras necesitaras:
Mostacillas, piedras o dijes del color que desees.
Balin de bisutería
2 metros de Hilo de cuero o también el hilo llamado piel de serpiente (también puedes utilizar el cordón de paracord)
2 metros de Hilo chino plateado
Cinta métrica ó regla
Encendedor
Tijeras
Gancho
Un pedazo de cartón

For these bracelets you will need.
Beads, stones or charms in the color of your choice.
Balin of costume jewelry
2 meters of leather thread or also the thread called snakeskin (you can also use paracord cord).
2 meters of silver-plated Chinese thread
Tape measure or ruler
Lighter
Scissors
Hook
A piece of cardboard

Una vez que medimos nuestra muñeca (la mía mide 17cm), cortamos 1,40 cm del hilo de cuero doblamos a la mitad y hacemos un nudo, por el cual va a pasar nuestra bolita o broche final.

Once we measure our doll (mine measures 17cm), we cut 1.40 cm of the leather thread, fold it in half and make a knot, through which our ball or final brooch will pass.

Fijamos con el gancho nuestro hilo al cartón.

We fix our thread to the cardboard with the hook.

Tomamos el lado derecho del hilo y lo pasamos por debajo del hilo izquierdo, formando una oreja o asa (ver imagen)

We take the right side of the thread and pass it under the left thread, forming an ear or handle (see image).

El extremo izquierdo del hilo lo pasamos por encima del hilo derecho y lo introducimos por debajo de la orejita o asa que se formó con el extremo derecho del hilo ( ver imagen).

The left end of the thread we pass it over the right thread and we introduce it under the ear or handle that was formed with the right end of the thread (see image).

Tensamos ambas puntas y tenemos nuestro primer tejido (ver imagen).

We tighten both ends and we have our first weave (see image).

Para seguir tejiendo vas a repetir la operación, tomamos el lado derecho del hilo y lo pasamos por debajo del hilo izquierdo, formando una oreja o asa y luego, El extremo izquierdo del hilo lo pasamos por encima del hilo derecho y lo introducimos por debajo de la orejita o asa que se formó con el extremo derecho del hilo.

To continue weaving you are going to repeat the operation, we take the right side of the thread and pass it under the left thread, forming an ear or handle and then, the left end of the thread we pass it over the right thread and introduce it under the ear or handle that was formed with the right end of the thread.

Vamos a repetir la operación hasta que vemos cómo se va formando nuestra pulsera, si ven el tejido es parecido a la cola de la serpiente cascabel.
We will repeat the operation until we see how our bracelet is being formed, if you see the fabric is similar to the tail of the rattlesnake.

Una vez tengas el largo adecuado a tu muñeca, para cerrar colocas una bolita de plata o madera donde vas a pasar ambos extremos del hilo como se ve en la imagen (ver imagen).

Once you have the right length for your wrist, to close you place a silver or wooden ball where you are going to pass both ends of the thread as shown in the image (see image).

Haces un nudo y cortas el hilo sobrante, con un encendedor quemas para darle una mejor terminación a la pulsera y lista.

Make a knot and cut the excess thread, with a lighter burn to give a better finish to the bracelet and ready.

Con esta técnica de nudo de serpiente puedes realizar otro modelo de pulsera, con un hilo un poco más fino y con mostacillas.

With this snake knot technique you can make another model of bracelet, with a little thinner thread and beads.

El procedimiento es el mismo, sólo que vas a contar 5 tejidos y luego en el quinto introduces por cada extremo (izquierdo y derecho una mostacilla). Después repites el proceso de tomar el lado derecho del hilo y pasarlo por debajo del hilo izquierdo, formando una oreja o asa y luego, el extremo izquierdo del hilo lo pasamos por encima del hilo derecho y lo introducimos por debajo de la orejita o asa que formamos con el extremo derecho del hilo, y tensamos ambos extremos.

The procedure is the same, only that you are going to count 5 weaves and then in the fifth one you introduce a bead at each end (left and right). Then you repeat the process of taking the right side of the thread and pass it under the left thread, forming an ear or handle and then, the left end of the thread we pass it over the right thread and we introduce it under the ear or handle that we formed with the right end of the thread, and we tighten both ends.

De igual forma, en la segunda parte del video esta como es el tejido luego de introducir las mostacillas.

Para cerrar la pulsera puedes hacerlo de la misma forma que la anterior con una bolita de metal o madera, o puedes realizar el tejido tipo macramé, sino sabes cómo hacerlo en mi post anterior está el paso a paso. ( link al final del post)

Con esta técnica puedes realizar no sólo estas delicadas pulseras, sino también con cordón tipo paracord puedes hacer pulseras y llaveros para caballeros.
