    ¡Saludos queridos amigos de Hive Food! Qué bueno estar nuevamente con ustedes para compartir una rica receta que es de origen italiano, pero en Venezuela, se ha convertido en una sopa de domingo, se trata de la sopa de Minestrone, en la que aprovechamos algunas verduras que nos hayan quedado de la semana y en la que cada familia le da su toque personal y hoy, les voy a enseñar la receta que usamos en casa.

    Greetings dear friends of Hive Food! How nice to be with you again to share a delicious recipe that is of Italian origin, but in Venezuela, it has become a Sunday soup, it is the Minestrone soup, in which we take advantage of some vegetables that we have left from the week and in which each family gives it their personal touch and today, I'll show you the recipe we use at home.

  • ½ Kg de Caraotas Blancas / ½ Kg of White Beans
  • 2 Zanahorias grandes / 2 Large Carrots
  • 4 Papas Medianas / 4 Medium Potatoes
  • 1 Taza de Pasta Corta / 1 Cup of Short Pasta
  • 1 Pechuga de Pollo / 1 Chicken Breast
  • 2 Pimentones - 6 Ajíes - 1 Rama de Célery / 2 Bell Peppers - 6 Sweet Pepper - 1 Branch of Celery
  • 1 Cebolla mediana - 4 dientes de ajo / 1 Medium Onion - 4 Cloves of Garlic
  • Sal, ajo en polvo y comino / Salt, garlic powder and cumin
  • Lo primero que haremos será colocar las caraotas blancas en olla de presión para que se vayan ablandando. Es necesario que queden un poquito duras, puesto que continuarán la cocción después.

    The first thing we will do is to place the white beans in a pressure cooker to soften them. It is necessary that they are a little hard, since they will continue cooking later.

    En simultaneo, ponemos a hervir la pechuga de pollo con parte de los aliños, la sal, ajo en polvo y un poquito de comino.

    Simultaneously, we boil the chicken breast with part of the seasoning, salt, garlic powder and a little bit of cumin.

    Mientras el pollo se está cocinando, procedemos a cortar en cuadritos la zanahoria, la papa y los aliños y una vez que el pollo esté listo, procedemos a desmecharlo.

    While the chicken is cooking, we proceed to cut the carrot, the potato and the seasonings in small squares and once the chicken is ready, we proceed to shred it.

    Cuando las caraotas estén blandas, vamos a completar el nivel del agua con el caldo de la pechuga de pollo que pusimos a hervir anteriormente y agregamos la zanahoria. Pasado un rato, agregamos las papas y los aliños, revolvemos y dejamos cocinar.

    When the beans are soft, we are going to complete the water level with the chicken breast broth that we put to boil previously and add the carrot. After a while, add the potatoes and the seasoning, stir and let it cook.

    En un sartén pequeño y a fuego medio, vamos a colocar a sofreír la cebolla y una vez que hayan transparentado, agregamos el ajo y dejamos cocinar unos minutos y luego lo colocamos en la olla de la preparación.

    In a small frying pan over medium heat, we are going to sauté the onion and once it has become transparent, we add the garlic and let it cook for a few minutes and then we put it in the pot of the preparation.

    Posterior a esto, agregamos la pasta y dejamos cocinar hasta que esté blandita.

    Para finalizar y como un punto importante, agregamos comino que es un ingrediente que le dará un toque único a este plato. Apagamos el fuego y dejamos reposar y ya está listo para servir.

    After this, add the pasta and let it cook until it is soft.

    Finally, and as an important point, we add cumin, which is an ingredient that will give a unique touch to this dish. Turn off the heat and let it rest and it is ready to serve.
