Hi, what's up Hive friends! Today, I want you to join me today in a new activity tasting different types of beer, both domestic and international.

Let's start with Polar or Polarcita as it is known here in Venezuela, which is a national beer. This is a beer with a somewhat bitter taste, unlike the Ice beer or light beer, which are another variety offered by the same company Polar. This is my favorite when choosing one of these three varieties, here it is known as "negrita".

Now we move on to Solera IPA beer. Solera is another brand of the same Polar company. This beer is Premium; I am going to read what it says on the back of the packaging. It says that "it comes from the English tradition and its origin dates back to the 18th century when the English were taking beers to their colonies to preserve them at high temperatures, that is why they developed a beer with a higher alcohol and hop content, known today as IPA".

It has a slightly darker color than the previous beer. Actually its flavor is a bit bitterer because of the higher hop content, that's why you can also see in the color and its flavor. I find this beer to have a somewhat astringent taste.

Now let's go with the Heineken beer which is an imported beer of Dutch origin that has 5 degrees of alcohol. According to what I read, it is a beer that has a type A yeast. It is world famous for being one of the official sponsors of the Champions League.

As we can see it is a beer with a light tone, now let's get to know its taste. Perhaps because of its color, I imagined that it could be a beer a little softer, but it does have a little astringent flavor, but very good, it is really very tasty.

Now I want to show you the Destilo beer, which is a national craft beer, it is the only Ale type in Venezuela, this means that it is higher in fermentation as opposed to lager beers, which is where the Pilsen beers we are mostly used to come from. It has an alcohol content of 5 degrees.

It has a citric and somewhat fruity aroma and its color is quite dark unlike those we have seen before, let's try it. It tastes quite astringent and perhaps a bit dry when it comes to leaving the taste in the mouth, I really like its flavor. You can notice that the beer is a little cloudy, that speaks of its artisanal manufacture.

Now I present an imported beer called Budweiser. Although it was patented in the United States, this beer is of Czech origin, and in addition to the common beer ingredients such as hops and barley, this one contains rice, which in my opinion in theory should give us a slightly milder flavor, let's see how it tastes. It has 5.2 degrees of alcohol.

It is not as light as the beers we are used to, it is a little darker, let's get to know its flavor. I really liked the taste of it, it's really a little bit smoother, it's very tasty.

Now we continue with the Reserva beer, which is from the same brand Solera, which belongs to Polar Companies, let's see what it says on the back of the packaging:

It says that "it is a lager type beer of Bavarian origin with intense flavor. Its elaboration is inspired by ancient traditional processes that today result in a unique flavor that is distinguished by its notes of smoky oak, in harmony with sweet and warm nuances of vanilla. A premium taste developed with the experience of the best brewmasters".

This beer is a little darker than the ones we have seen, I really liked its color, a very interesting amber tone: you can feel the vanilla aroma, it is a delicious beer, it is becoming one of my favorites.

Finally, let’s taste the Kriek beer, also from the Solera brand, I share with you what the packaging says: "Inspired by the Belgian tradition, whose country is characterized by being avant-garde in the production of beers of great variety. It was created with unique flavors of cherries and red fruits, developed from the Schaarbeek recipe".

Something that caught my attention was its beautiful red wine color, its taste is refreshing and we can feel not only the flavor, but also the aroma of cherries and red fruits, it was my favorite beer of the tasting.

That's all for today, I had a lot of fun and I hope soon to have the opportunity to try other brands, both domestic and imported and share that moment with all of you. See you in a future video!
