Happy Tuesday, nice community! A new week to talk about books and share our literary experiences. Today I bring you a light but deeply moving read: "The Knight in Rusty Armor" by Robert Fisher.

¡Feliz martes, linda comunidad! Una nueva semana para hablar de libros y compartir nuestras experiencias literarias. Hoy les traigo una lectura ligera pero profundamente conmovedora: “El Caballero de la Armadura Oxidada” de Robert Fisher.

My first encounter with this book was in high school, when it was given to me as required reading in a subject. At the time, I didn't think much of it and it was forgotten in a corner of my bookshelf. However, years later, I decided to pick it up again and it became one of my favorite books. Since then, I have read it at least five times, and each time I discover a new learning.

Mi primer encuentro con este libro fue en el bachillerato, cuando me lo dieron como lectura obligada en una materia. En ese momento, no le di mucha importancia y quedó olvidado en un rincón de mi estante. Sin embargo, años después, decidí retomarlo y se convirtió en uno de mis libros favoritos. Desde entonces, lo he leído al menos cinco veces, y en cada ocasión descubro un nuevo aprendizaje.

"The Knight in Rusty Armor" is a fable that tells us the story of a knight obsessed with his armor, so much so that he seems to love it more than his own family. Throughout the plot, the knight realizes what is truly important and embarks on a journey to get rid of that piece of metal that prevents him from feeling and connecting with his loved ones.

“El Caballero de la Armadura Oxidada” es una fábula que nos cuenta la historia de un caballero obsesionado con su armadura, tanto que parece amarla más que a su propia familia. A lo largo de la trama, el caballero se da cuenta de lo verdaderamente importante y emprende un viaje para deshacerse de ese trozo de metal que le impide sentir y conectar con sus seres queridos.

This novel, with its 93 pages, is devoured in little more than an hour and a half. Its brevity and simplicity do not detract from its depth; on the contrary, they make it accessible and charming. What fascinates me most is that, with few characters, Fisher manages to create a narrative rich in wisdom, humor and a touch of mischief that wins the reader's heart.

Esta novela, con sus 93 páginas, se devora en poco más de una hora y media. Su brevedad y sencillez no le restan profundidad; al contrario, la hacen accesible y encantadora. Lo que más me fascina es que, con pocos personajes, Fisher logra crear una narrativa rica en sabiduría, humor y un toque de picardía que conquista el corazón del lector.

Each character brings something unique: from Merlin, with his mystical teachings, to the jester, whose wit makes us reflect. The story is a powerful metaphor about self-knowledge and the importance of freeing our emotional shells to live fully.

Cada personaje aporta algo único: desde Merlín, con sus enseñanzas místicas, hasta el bufón, que con su ingenio nos hace reflexionar. La historia es una metáfora poderosa sobre el autoconocimiento y la importancia de liberar nuestras corazas emocionales para vivir plenamente.
