Today I finally got my hands on this Sweet Boba Pizza. If you don’t know what Boba is, boba is tapioca pearls made from tapioca flour with either brown or palm sugar. I have made boba in the past and you can check it out Palm Sugar Boba With Coffee Milk - Home Cafe Boba .

So basically about a year ago, Domino’s decided to make a Pizza with Boba topping. The inventor of this menu is a chef from Taiwan who owns an eatery there. If you want to read the origin of this pizza, here's the full story on it Asian Pizza Doesn’t Need to Apologize.

Okay so, about two weeks ago, I asked my twitter followers whether they would order the pizza. And only today I got to taste this sweet pizza!

This unique pizza is available in classic handtossed crust. The topping of this pizza consists of Mozzarella, Boba, Butterscotch Sauce, and sugar icing. So overall this is going to be a sweet instead of savory pizza.

My first reaction to this pizza was that it would be inedible and tasted strange. As far as I know, boba is sweet. But after tasting this pizza, the boba is tasteless. The main thing that throws me off is the caramel on the pizza. It was just too sweet and too creamy for me.When you eat it, the boba is so chewy and it’s really a unique experience for eating a pizza.I don’t really know if I can recommend this boba pizza. It’s something that you and I might disagree on. But to me, this is something too sweet and I will never eat it ever again. Though I can say the combination doesn’t make it that inedible, it’s completely edible and good especially if you like sweets. Though personally, I prefer something more savory.

So, besides that boba pizza, I also ordered cheesy garlic bread. What I like from Domino's is mostly their cheesy bread instead of the pizza. At least, after tasting something unique, my taste buds find something familiar.
