    El tema de esta semana es: "Supervivencia". Todos de alguna forma somos supervivientes en algo o en algún momento de nuestras vidas. Con este tango rindo un homenaje a los supervivientes del mundo, sobre todo los de mi querido país Venezuela.

    "La cumparsita" es un tango escrito en 1916 por el músico uruguayo Gerardo Matos Rodríguez, con letra de Pascual Contursi y Enrique Pedro Maroni. Es uno de los tangos más famosos y reconocibles de todos los tiempos. Roberto Firpo, director y pianista de la orquesta que estrenó la canción, sumó partes de sus tangos "La gaucha Manuela" y "Curda completa" a la marcha carnavalesca de Matos ("La cumparsita"), quedando así "La cumparsita". conocido actualmente. "La cumparsita" se estrenó en público en el antiguo Café La Giralda de Montevideo, Uruguay. El Museo del Tango de Montevideo se encuentra actualmente en ese lugar histórico.
