North of Venezuela, on the Caribbean coast, is located one of my favorite places in the world, it is a nature reserve called Mochima, famous for its abundant wildlife including sea turtles and dolphins. What I love most about this paradisiacal place is that its waters are so crystal clear that one of its islands is called "pool island"

Al norte de Venezuela, en la costa caribeña, se ubica uno de mis lugares preferidos en el mundo, se trata de una reserva natural llamada Mochima, es famosa por su abundante fauna que incluye tortugas marinas y delfines. Lo que más me encanta de este lugar paradisiaco es que sus aguas son tan cristalinas que una de sus islas tiene por nombre “isla piscina”.

To enjoy these beautiful landscapes, you must take a boat or motorboat that leaves from the city of Puerto la Cruz in the state of Anzoátegui. The sun of the Venezuelan coast is perfect for a good tan and the salt water of Mochima leaves your skin with a spectacular glow.

Para disfrutar de estos bellos paisajes, debes tomar un bote o lancha que sale desde la ciudad de Puerto la Cruz en el Estado Anzoátegui. El sol de las costas de Venezuela es perfecto para un buen bronceado y el agua salada de Mochima deja tu piel con un brillo espectacular.

When you take the boat you can go to the islands you want in this beautiful park, in these islands you will find places to eat delicious and fresh seafood or to spend the night if you wish, there are also areas where camping is allowed.

Al tomar la lancha puedes dirigirte a las islas que desees de este bello parque, en estas islas encontrarás lugares para comer mariscos deliciosos y frescos o para pasar la noche si así lo deseas, también hay zonas donde es permitido acampar.

Each of its beaches is unique and you can find large stones and corals with beautiful designs. There are places in Mochima where the locals do not take tourists, this has allowed many of the islands to be virgin, there are also islands full of mangroves. When the sun goes down you can witness the most beautiful sunsets with unique colors reflected in the crystal clear waters. Mochima is a paradisiacal place, if you are lucky as I was, you can see dolphins being happy in their natural habitat. I really hope that everyone at some point can get to know these beautiful beaches and fall in love with the Caribbean coast of Venezuela.

Cada una de sus playas es única y puedes encontrar grandes piedras y corales con diseños hermosos. Hay lugares en Mochima a los que los lugareños no llevan a los turistas, esto ha permitido que muchas de las islas sean vírgenes, también hay islas repletas de manglares. Cuando cae el sol puedes presenciar los más bellos atardeceres con colores únicos que se reflejan en sus aguas cristalinas. Mochima es un lugar paradisiaco, si tienes suerte así como la tuve yo, puedes ver a los delfines siendo felices en su habitad natural. Espero realmente que todos en algún momento puedan conocer estas bellas playas y enamorarse de las costas caribeñas de Venezuela.
