Video: Mi primer partido de fútbol

Esta es mi primera entrada sobre deportes. No soy muy seguidora, menos del fútbol, ya que en Venezuela el deporte nacional es el beisbol. Por lo que no les voy hablar de goles, estadísticas, técnicas y posiciones, les voy a contar la pasión y el corazón de una hinchada –como se les dice en Argentina a la fanaticada de un equipo de fútbol- que cantaba a viva voz: ¡vamos Platense que tenemos que ganar!.

Hace unos días mi amigo Carlos Estévez tocó la puerta de mi casa con unas entradas en la mano, me dijo: ¡vamos!. Era de noche, ya estaba en pijamas, sin embargo acepté la invitación nada más por curiosidad. En Venezuela nunca había ido a un estadio a ver algún partido, era la oportunidad de hacerlo, así que me cambié, me puse un abrigo y salimos.

Nos fuimos en su moto, desde la autopista General Paz se ve el estadio de Platense, ubicado a unos 30 minutos de casa. Era un juego de la Primera División de Argentina entre Club Atlético Platense y Club Atlético Lanús por lo que el despliegue de seguridad era fuerte, nos tocó caminar un buen tramo para entrar al campo, pero desde afuera se sentía la emoción de los fanáticos que esa noche iban al evento deportivo.

Resulta que el Calamar Marrón Tense –como se apoda el club deportivo- es un equipo del barrio de Saavedra de Vicente López- la provincia donde vivo actualmente en Argentina. Aunque los grupos más populares son Boca y River, el estadio estaba lleno. En una de las tribunas se ubicaba La Banda del Calamar, que entonó cánticos toda la noche para alentar a sus jugadores. ¡Vengo del barrio de Saavedra, vamos juntos a ganar!

This is my first post about sports. I'm not much of a follower of soccer, especially not soccer, since in Venezuela the national sport is baseball. So I am not going to talk about goals, statistics, techniques and positions, I am going to tell you about the passion and the heart of the fans -as they say in Argentina to the fans of a soccer team- who chanted loudly: Let's go Platense, we have to win!

A few days ago, my friend Carlos Estévez knocked on my door with some tickets in his hand, he told me: Let's go! come on!. It was night time, I was already in my pajamas, however I accepted the invitation just out of curiosity. In Venezuela I had never been to a stadium to see a game, this was the opportunity to do it, so I changed, put on a coat and we went out.

We left on his motorcycle, from the General Paz highway we could see Platense's stadium, located about 30 minutes from home. It was a game of the First Division of Argentina between Club Atletico Platense and Club Atletico Lanus so the security deployment was strong, we had to walk a good stretch to enter the field, but from outside you could feel the excitement of the fans that night were going to the sporting event.

It turns out that Calamar Marrón Tense - as the sports club is nicknamed - is a team from the Saavedra neighborhood of Vicente López - the province where I currently live in Argentina. Although the most popular groups are Boca and River, the stadium was full. In one of the stands was La Banda del Calamar, who sang chants all night long to cheer on their players. I come from the neighborhood of Saavedra, let's go together to win!
