Hive Open Mic Week 114 - Hole In The Ground

Greetings Hive Open Mic and Welcome to week 114!!!

For this week, I chose an original off my third full length album In The Earth I Will Be Free, which came out in 2018. I chose the track called Hole In The Ground. It is one of a great many depressing songs that I write often. This song is about a daydream I used to have often, where I would envision myself laying in my coffin. I was going through a pretty dark time when I wrote this one. In the song I also touch on my view of human nature, which tends to ruin everything, and also the thought that none of this is even real. As ultimately, only death is real.

Para esta semana, elegí un original de mi tercer álbum completo In The Earth I Will Be Free, que salió en 2018. Elegí la canción llamada Hole In The Ground. Es una de las muchas canciones deprimentes que escribo a menudo. Esta canción trata sobre un sueño que solía tener a menudo, en el que me imaginaba acostado en mi ataúd. Estaba pasando por un momento bastante oscuro cuando escribí este. En la canción también toco mi visión de la naturaleza humana, que tiende a arruinarlo todo, y también el pensamiento de que nada de esto es real. Como en última instancia, sólo la muerte es real.
