We continue to know the Asanas in Yoga and this time here we go with "Uttanasana" pincer pose. "Ut" means intense "Tana" means stretching and "Asana" posture. As the name implies, it is a posture with intense stretching of almost all the members, focused mainly on our legs, as well as, arms and back.
On a mental level it offers us deep relaxation, providing calmness of thought and release of stress from excess thoughts; at the spiritual level helps us to balance and harmonize energy channels called "chakras". In another publication I'll be telling you about the "Chakras".
Begin with Tadasana "Mountain position" the first one.
We inhale and carry arms to the sky; exhale and we go down our body, forward bend from the hips.
I will have options: the first one offered is to put your hands on your ankles, by keeping your back straight and your legs stretched. The second option is to put your hands next to your feet; if you don't arrive with your legs stretched out you can half bend your knees to reach the ground. Careful to keep your back aligned.
The posture seeks your chest to meet the quadriceps, for it the constant practice makes of this possible.
Drop your head and relax.
Helps your nervous system
Deep stretching of our body, special in legs, gluteus and hamstrings.
Strengthening in legs and knees.
By bringing the head down it helps the blood supply; relaxing it to a maximum level.
Helps the digestive system
Especially for people suffering from allergies, asthma and sinusitis.
