MY FIRST ORIGINAL SONG ON HIVE!

I was thinking of posting this awhile ago but did not find any special day for it. Today is a special one! Stick with me and I’ll tell you why!

I’ve been playing guitar and singing for a good amount of time but never finished my own songs. I wrote many songs and then put them aside.
I was feeling so stuck because I always has a lot of feelings and inspiration to write, I felt trapped!

One day in September this year 2021, a producer friend promised to make “In my life – The Beatles” drum beat for me if I let him hear my original material. And so it was time I really sat down to focus on writing and completing a song.

Interestingly there are steps of writing songs that we don’t feel comfortable to go through at all!
But after going through that and finishing a song, that is the most fulfilling feeling ever! And I feel so so so free!

I’ve been writing more since then and this song has been performed live a lot in my town and getting great feedback. I love that my first song came out as a sweet classic one cause I love classic!
And the most difficult thing is my first song, I already decided and focused on writing in English – English is just a foreign language in Viet Nam and writing lyrics is not as easy!
Writing a song that delivers an international vibe reallys the coolest thing I have ever done!

Alright, this is what this song is about!

After my breakup with my first love, I closed my heart and did not want to date or meet any guy.
I was on the journey of healing myself and focusing on growing myself.
Until 10 months later (April this year 2021), I met a guy who came from Sai Gon to Da Nang to travel, and since then I realized that I was ready to fall in love again, to be vulnerable to JUST LOVE!

We had great connection, great chemistry, it was the best feeling I ever had, we shared and played a lot of Beatles songs together, we shared same life value...
And then.. I found out he did not want a relationship or date anyone seriously, but I did want to. And I would never take anyone if they don’t want to take me seriously...

I was heart broken, I told him my point and we did not see each other anymore. After 6 months, he is in Sai Gon, I am in Da Nang, 500 miles way. I never forgot him or any feelings I had. And when I wrote the song, it was about him and to encourage us to just love and go for the person that we feel so right when being with! 🤗

Yesterday... after 6 months, he came back here to Da Nang with his group of friends – everyone knows me... and now he said he is seeing someone in Saigon already, and his friends told him to not even go for a simple drink with me one on one to catch up with what’s going on in life. I totally understand that. And my heart broke again...

I wish it was an official breakup last time so I would have put it aside. It was an open ending, I did move on but I totally did not expect this situation happens to me now..
Anyway! Life goes on!

And I moved on again now!
I believe that time will help with healing and things if don’t happen as we expected, something else better gonna come later! 😃
