One of my new list subscribers replied to my welcome email to tell me about his less than happy experiences trying to build a business online and the rough times he has been experiencing. I replied to him and briefly shared some of my less than successful past experiences. And then I was trying to figure out what offer I should send along in that email as well. Until I remembered that it wouldn't be appropriate at this time to throw an offer at him. My gut served me well again because I knew deep down that he wasn't asking what program he should join next. And when I asked @jongolson he confirmed it. :-) Build the relationships first! These are people on your list not just names or email addresses. Be a good human and show them you care.
