42 Years Ago Today, January 4th, 1982 was My First Day in Bootcamp for the United States Navy

I met a friend of mine for lunch today who was in Bootcamp with me.
We lived in the same city but didn't know each other till we met at the Armed Forces Entrance Examination Stations AFEES for our induction.
I had to look that up, by the way, because I didn't remember what it stood for. LOL
That was my first time away from home for more than one night.
I was 20 years old.
What an eye opening experience.
An adventure, indeed.
That's what the recruiting commercials used to say.
The Navy, it's not just a job, it's an adventure.
And this is from me, first you have to get through Bootcamp.
