"Santa's Christmas" | Procreate digital illustration + video reveal from initial sketch to finished design

"Santa's Christmas" is a digital illustration I drew in Procreate. The idea for this piece came to me as I wondered what Santa would be doing to celebrate Christmas, as the rest of the world opens presents, spends time with family and celebrates in their own way.

Of course, Santa would be a little tired after delivering all of those presents, so I imagine him to be snoozing by a cozy fire, full of ginger beer and cookies, with his favourite pal Rudolph asleep on the floor beside him, cuddling his favourite squishy candy cane toy.

Nice socks, Santa!

This video firstly shows you the initial sketch, which I erase away to reveal the finished piece—actually made up of about 35 layers!

It was a lot of fun to do.
