"Chau", es una canción de la banda uruguaya No Te Va Gustar, de su álbum de estudio Por lo menos hoy, del año 2010.

Esta es una banda que fusiona muchos ritmos que van desde el reggae hasta el rock alternativo, por lo que en la mayoría de sus canciones podemos disfrutar de una esencia muy caribe, fresca e intensa. Recuerdo que escuché este grupo a finales de los 90, inicios del 2000, y apenas tenían un solo álbum, para este momento solo se podía apreciar una sola línea musical en su estilo, y es que no tenían canciones propias y con las que contaban en su repertorio, eran compuestas por un artista invitado, el señor Ricardo Mollo, vocalista de la banda argentina Divididos. Por lo tanto, la esencia que emanan ahora se estaba cultivando en cada ensayo y discos posteriores.

Soy de los que piensa que la verdad y la identidad de una banda se ve en los primeros discos, pero por lo expuesto en el párrafo anterior, puedo decirles que la parte genuina de esta gran agrupación despertó a partir de este hermoso álbum, Por lo menos hoy, que cuenta con temas que han marcado pauta en el rock latino, como Chau, Memorias del Olvido, Cero a la Izquierda, etc. Todo esto convierte a NTVG, (como se abrevia este nombre), en una súper banda de representación suramericana.

La canción Chau es el tema más comercial que puede tener este álbum, se trata de una base muy melódica y con variantes vocales muy interesantes que hacen de esta pieza una armonía perfecta entre una balada reggae y un rock clásico. En mi caso tomé los acordes principales de la canción y realicé un arpegio para llenar más el fondo melódico y dedicarme solo a ponerle cariño y amor a la voz.

"Chau", is a song by the Uruguayan band No Te Va Gustar, from their studio album At least today, from 2010.

This is a band that fuses many rhythms ranging from reggae to alternative rock, so in most of their songs we can enjoy a very Caribbean, fresh and intense essence. I remember that I listened to this group at the end of the 90s, beginning of the 2000s, and they barely had a single album, for this moment you could only appreciate a single musical line in their style, and that is that they did not have their own songs and with which they counted on their repertoire, were composed by a guest artist, Mr. Ricardo Mollo, vocalist of the Argentine band Divididos. Therefore, the essence that they emanate now was being cultivated in each rehearsal and subsequent albums.

I am one of those who think that the truth and the identity of a band is seen in the first albums, but from what was stated in the previous paragraph, I can tell you that the genuine part of this great group woke up from this beautiful album, ** At least today**, which has songs that have set the standard in Latin rock, such as Chau, Memorias del Olvido, Cero a la Izquierda, etc. All of this makes NTVG, (as this name is abbreviated), in a super band of South American representation.

The song Chau is the most commercial song that this album can have, it is a very melodic base and very interesting vocal variations that make this piece a perfect harmony between a reggae ballad and classic rock. In my case, I took the main chords of the song and made an arpeggio to fill the melodic background more and dedicate myself only to putting care and love to the voice.
