Fake Content or Better User Experience!?

Let's talk about fake content... not the fake content you're thinking about. We're talking about "Ghost Comments".

What is a Ghost Comment. It's just a random name I made up for a new feature on the LeoFinance Alpha UI -- https://alpha.leofinance.io.

What are they?

Basically, the UI reads content from the Hive blockchain and that's what you see on the UI. The only problem with that is that if you're reading content from the chain and people are interacting and expecting things to show up instantly (as they do on Web3), then even a 3 second delay can be annyoing for the User Experience.

Ghost Comments are our solution to that. Essentially, the UI shows you a "Fake Comment" when you publish a thread or comment underneath a post.

This allows the UI to show you what you did instantly but then on the backend, it is waiting for the data to "fully load" in its interaction with the Hive blockchain.

• New mechanic: In the old UI when you post a comment it doesn't show the it right away, but on Threads it shows you the Thread instantly after posting it, this mechanic will be implemented to everything in the new UI.
• The way this works is easy, once you post you will see a fake version of the thread or comment while the blockchain engraves the action, this way the UI shows your actions until the blockchain shows you the real one.
• Once the Thread or comment is indexed on chain, you will see the real version of it.
