Paseando por Sky | Parte I: La isla del amanecer [eng][spa]

Desde hace mucho tiempo quería compartir con ustedes el gameplay completo de uno de los mejores juegos de celular que existen, para mí fue una exquisitez desde el día que me dijeron que lo instalara. Aunque ya he hablado un par de veces de este juego, no lo había hecho apropiadamente, no se los había presentado como era. Y aquí está Sky: Los niños de la luz. Este juego representa para mí una manera interesante de hacer una meditación guiada, porque mientras vamos recorriendo y descubriendo este mundo volando entre las nubes, tiene una de las mejores bandas sonoras, por lo que es recomendable usar audífonos mientras juegas.

For a long time I wanted to share with you the complete gameplay of one of the best cell phone games out there, for me, it was a delicacy from the day I was told to install it. Although I have already talked a couple of times about this game, I had not done it properly, I had not presented it to you as it was. And here it is Sky: Children of Light. This game represents for me an interesting way to do a guided meditation because while we go through and discover this world flying among the clouds, it has one of the best soundtracks, so it is advisable to use headphones while playing.

Sky es un juego creado por thatgamecompany, Inc., los mismos creadores de Journey (juego que necesito jugar ahora mismo). Este lo podemos conseguir en dispositivos móviles y me encanta porque es muy completo, con una historia que tiene principio y fin. Además, puedes jugarlo cuantas veces quieras porque siempre están sacando expansiones del mundo. Este juego fue lanzado en el 2019 para dispositivos iOS, pero llegó para Android en julio de 2019, y fue más o menos para la época que empecé a jugarlo. Ganó muchos premios como uno de los mejores de 2019 - 2020, y es que es bien merecido.

Sky is a game created by thatgamecompany, Inc., the same creators of Journey (a game I need to play right now). This one is available on mobile devices and I love it because it is very complete, with a story that has a beginning and an end. Also, you can play it as many times as you want because they are always releasing world expansions. This game was released in 2019 for iOS devices, but it arrived for Android in July 2019, and it was around the time I started playing it. It won a lot of awards as one of the best of 2019 - 2020, and it's well deserved.

El juego en esencia nos presenta una propuesta sencilla y una jugabilidad que parece fácil, pero como en todos los juegos, a medida que vamos avanzando de nivel, la dificultad va creciendo. Hay muchas cosas que podemos hacer dentro del juego, pero lo principal, así como se los muestro en el video, es el menú interactivo. Tenemos a nuestros amigos ubicados en las estrellas, y los ubicamos por un menú que está en el centro de nuestro "Hogar". Si nos movemos a la izquierda podemos ir recogiendo las luces de las velas, estas luces se van agregando a una barra en forma de vela que se va llenando poco a poco y en el momento que está llena nos las entregan; con estas podemos ir comprando cosas a unos espíritus que iremos desbloqueando más adelante. Más a la izquierda encontramos una pared con unas figuras dibujadas, allí ubicamos los ítems que vamos comprando: capas, cabello, mascaras, pantalones.

The game in essence presents us with a simple proposal and gameplay that seems easy, but as in all games, as we advance in level, the difficulty increases. There are many things we can do within the game, but the main thing, as I show you in the video, is the interactive menu. We have our friends located in the stars, and we locate them by a menu that is in the center of our "Home". If we move to the left we can collect the candle lights, these lights are added to a candle-shaped bar that is gradually filling up and when it is full they are delivered to us; with these, we can buy things from some spirits that we will unlock later. Further to the left, we find a wall with some figures drawn, there we place the items that we buy: capes, hair, masks, pants.

Lo siguiente que podemos ver son unas puertas, aquí están siete puertas que representan los 7 niveles que iremos desbloqueando a medida que vayamos pasando estos, obviamente, mientras no se hayan desbloqueado no podemos avanzar. Hoy les estaré hablando solo del primero: La isla del Amanecer.

La isla del amanecer es la primera que se nos presenta, y cuando llegamos nos cuenta la historia de que es lo que tenemos que hacer, que es simplemente ir recogiendo las luces de los niños. Estas luces aladas se van añadiendo a nuestra capa y mientras más tengamos podemos ir aumentando el nivel de la capa y podemos volar más alto y durante más tiempo.

La isla del amanecer es la primera que se nos presenta, y cuando llegamos nos cuenta la historia de que es lo que tenemos que hacer, que es simplemente ir recogiendo las luces de los niños. Estas luces aladas se van añadiendo a nuestra capa y mientras más tengamos podemos ir aumentando el nivel de la capa y podemos volar más alto y durante más tiempo.

A medida que vamos avanzando, nos vamos encontrando con historias, espíritus que nos muestran sus recuerdos y que son importantes revivir porque de esta manera se nos abrirán algunas puertas secretas dentro de cada mundo y son necesarios para poder avanzar.

As we advance, we will find stories, spirits that show us their memories and that are important to revive because in this way we will open some secret doors within each world and are necessary to advance.

Mientras jugamos y descubrimos la maravilla de volar a través de las nubes, la música nos va envolviendo y siempre queremos ir más allá, y descubrir y buscar todos los rincones escondidos que tiene para nosotros.

As we play and discover the wonder of flying through the clouds, the music envelops us and we always want to go further, and discover and search for all the hidden corners it has for us.

Cuando llegamos al final de cada nivel, habrá una estatua a la que debemos rendir un tributo encendiendo su luz. Cuando llegamos allí verán que todos los espíritus que hemos recogido, estarán esperándonos y se unirán a la constelación de cada nivel; adicionalmente nos darán un gesto que podemos usar con otros jugadores.

When we reach the end of each level, there will be a statue to which we must pay tribute by turning on its light. When we get there you will see that all the spirits we have collected, will be waiting for us and will join the constellation of each level; additionally, they will give us a gesture that we can use with other players.

Les aseguro que después de ver este gameplay, querrán jugarlo, el primer nivel es bastante corto y pueden seguir tanto como puedan. Lo ideal, para jugar más rápido, es que se juegue en equipo. Se hacen las cosas más rápido y no perdemos tiempo esperando a otro jugador para abrir una puerta, por ejemplo. Jugar en grupo es genial porque podemos ir tomados de la mano guiados por solo una persona.

Como aún quedan 6 niveles por descubrir, les iré diciendo a medida que avancemos por estos niveles más datos del juego. Algo importante por si quieren jugar algo en su celular es que pueden jugar dispositivos que tengan de Android 8.0 en adelante, y el juego pesa 1.3 GB, lo puedes conseguir completamente gratis en la Play Store.

I assure you that after seeing this gameplay, you will want to play it, the first level is quite short and you can continue as long as you can. The ideal, to play faster, is to play as a team. It gets things done faster and we don't waste time waiting for another player to open a door, for example. Playing in a group is great because we can go holding hands guided by only one person.
