𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶 𝗩𝗹𝗼𝗴 sobre el Rodaje del Documental "𝘓𝘢 𝘏𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘢 𝘥𝘦 𝘭𝘢 𝘋𝘢𝘯𝘻𝘢 𝘦𝘯 𝘝

Estos últimos semestres de mi carrera han traído muchísimos proyectos y rodajes que me han ayudado a mejorar mucho mis técnicas y formas de ejecutar tareas dentro de una producción, esto es algo que me encanta porque al fin estoy teniendo las prácticas que se supone debía tener desde un inicio pero, a su vez, es sumamente agotador porque han rodaje tras rodaje casi sin parar. Generalmente me encargo de la parte creativa, o sea el Guion, y de la Dirección General; algunas veces me he tenido que encargar de la parte de Producción como de la Post-producción y ayudar un poco en la cámara, cosa que es muy graciosa porque yo me estoy graduando en Dirección de Fotografía lo que significa que siempre debería estar junto a la cámara pero, lamentablemente, me di cuenta muy tarde que me había equivocado de mención.

Uno de los retos más grandes que se me presentó este semestre fue encargarme de la producción de un Documental, aunque parezca lo contrario, los documentales reales son muchísimo más complicados de rodar que un largometraje de ficción o, incluso, un falso documental debido a que estos requieren de demasiada investigación, presupuesto y tiempo; lamentablemente no teníamos dos de esos tres requerimientos, presupuesto y tiempo, así que tuvimos que hacer lo que se podía con lo que se tenía, cosa que dificulta mucho más la producción de dicho material.

Este proyecto no es solamente de nosotros los de Audiovisuales, de hecho, es un proyecto de fin de curso de los muchachos de Danza que nos pidieron el apoyo para poder llevarlo a cabo de la mejor forma; por suerte ellas ya tenían toda la parte teórica lista y nosotros solo teníamos que encargarnos de la producción como la post producción del documental. Hubo muchos percances debido a la premura del proyecto, los tiempos de los profesores a quienes ibamos a entrevistar como de nosotros mismos en la producción no concordaban y era bastante complicado pautar un día de rodaje pero con mucho esfuerzo se logró hacer todas las entrevistas como grabar algún material de apoyo necesario, finalizando así la parte de producción de este proyecto.

Debido a la falta de tiempo y la delicadeza del material, mi profesor Jose se encargara del Montaje y la Post-producción, evidentemente al ser la encargada de este proyecto tengo que ser parte de ese proceso también así que mis labores aún no terminan del todo.

Ha sido un proyecto complicado pero ha sido una experiencia que me ha brindado de mucho conocimiento, he podido explotar mis fuertes, pulir mis habilidades y mejorar mis debilidades; también me ha ayudado mucho a confortar esas inseguridades como miedos que me han cohibido de hacer muchos cosas por años. Realmente no me arrepiento de absolutamente nada de este proyecto, ni siquiera de los malos ratos porque fueron momentos de reflexión y de aprendizaje, estoy muy emocionada de culminar este documental y poder enseñárselos porque, aparte de ser una experiencia increíble para mí, trata sobre un tema muy importante como lo es la Historia de la Danza aquí en mi país, Venezuela.

These last semesters of my career have brought a lot of projects and shootings that have helped me to improve my techniques and ways of executing tasks within a production, this is something I love because I'm finally having the practices I was supposed to have from the beginning but, at the same time, it is extremely exhausting because they have shot after shot almost non-stop. Generally I am in charge of the creative part, that is the Script, and the General Direction; sometimes I have had to take care of the Production part like Post-production and help a little in the camera, which is very funny because I am graduating in Cinematography Direction which means that I should always be next to the camera but, unfortunately, I realized very late that I had the wrong mention.

One of the biggest challenges I faced this semester was to be in charge of the production of a Documentary, although it may seem the opposite, real documentaries are much more complicated to shoot than a fiction feature film or even a mockumentary because they require too much research, budget and time; unfortunately we didn't have two of those three requirements, budget and time, so we had to do what we could with what we had, which makes the production of such material much more difficult.

This project is not only of us from Audiovisuals, in fact, it is an end of course project of the Dance students who asked for our support to carry it out in the best way; luckily they already had all the theoretical part ready and we only had to take care of the production and post production of the documentary. There were many mishaps due to the haste of the project, the times of the teachers we were going to interview and ourselves in the production didn't agree and it was quite complicated to schedule a day of shooting but with a lot of effort we managed to do all the interviews and record some necessary support material, thus finalizing the production part of this project.

Due to the lack of time and the delicacy of the material, my teacher Jose will be in charge of the Editing and Post-production, obviously being in charge of this project I have to be part of that process as well, so my work isn't finished yet.

It has been a complicated project but it has been an experience that has given me a lot of knowledge, I have been able to exploit my strengths, polish my skills and improve my weaknesses; it has also helped me a lot to comfort those insecurities and fears that have inhibited me from doing many things for years. I really don't regret anything about this project, not even the bad times because they were moments of reflection and learning. I 'm very excited to finish this documentary and to be able to show it to you because, besides being an incredible experience for me, it deals with a very important topic such as the History of Dance here in my country, Venezuela.
