Several days ago @ikasumanera recommended us a video game that was on offer on Steam and the same for my criteria was like a kind of mixture between Ark and Subnautica, this title is called Raft and it is about surviving and developing while you are adrift in the middle of the ocean and you can go collecting objects that never stop appearing in the water (what a great amount of almost unlimited garbage that has the ocean of this game) in addition to finding deserted islands of greater or lesser size and where you can find different materials and different sources of food. This title can be played in multiplayer supposedly up to 8 players at the same time, but for this you must create a world where only one person will be the Host so that if that person is not present the others will not be able to enter the world to play.

We start the adventure on a small wooden raft which is made of rectangular blocks of plastic and you barely have enough space to move, at all times through the water are passing basic objects such as boards, palm leaves, bags and pieces of plastic which you can collect using a small plastic hook which you throw to capture the objects and attract them to you without having to enter the water, You can also pick up the objects when they pass close enough to the raft or simply jump into the water and swim to them but this last option is the least recommended of all because practically as soon as you enter the water a shark will attack you again and again until it manages to reduce all your health or until you get back on top of the raft.

To be able to expand the raft is as simple as collecting wood and plastic to make the platforms and to build the platforms you must create the basic hammer which you can also create quickly without any problem with the basic materials that are floating around the ocean. You can also find barrels or wooden boxes that can have a good amount of basic objects or some other less common objects such as pieces of chátara, stones, rope, construction plans and some other objects. Something important to keep in mind is that the shark can attack the raft and destroy segments so you must quickly create a wooden spear to attack it and prevent it from destroying part of your raft.

For this game we decided to play @brataka, @gabrielserra and I in the world of @ikasumanera so that he would be the Host of the game, to start in a new world from the beginning the first thing we had to do was the most basic in any game, collect a lot of basic resources to expand the raft and build the necessary objects to survive such as the desalination table with which we convert sea water into drinking water and a small grill to cook food such as fish or vegetables that are obtained on the islands or wooden barrels, At first we were all collecting materials and giving them to IK who was in charge of expanding the small raft but after a few minutes we were lucky enough to quickly find a small island which despite not having many different objects to collect if it served us to gather more scrap, wood, stones, sand, clay and more. After a good time on the island we decided to sail back into the ocean aboard the small raft in search of basic materials and more islands to collect materials and objects.

Due to some inconveniences when leaving the island we had to leave behind Gab who was AFK and when he came back he had to drown in the water to be able to reappear in the raft and it was here where we realized that, although the air runs out pretty fast when you are underwater waiting until you lose consciousness by drowning takes much longer than expected, by selecting "respawn on the raft" instead of waiting for a companion to rescue you, you lose very few items from your inventory and since you are just starting out and have practically nothing of value in your inventory, this was not a problem. We continue sailing until we reach another island to plunder and each time we are improving the small raft, one of the improvements we must make is the reusable anchor to leave the raft still next to an island without moving away alone and is that with the anchor that we were on the first islands it breaks when you lift it so you must make a new one each time and spend more materials than necessary. Raft at first glance may seem simple, but it has a lot of content and many objects to build which ends up resulting in a pretty fun title.

Hace varios días @ikasumanera nos recomendó un videojuego que se encontraba en oferta en Steam y el mismo para mi criterio era como una especie de mezcla entre Ark y Subnautica, este título se llama Raft y el mismo se trata de conseguir sobrevivir y desarrollarte mientras estas a la deriva en medio del océano y puedes ir recogiendo objetos que nunca dejan de aparecer en el agua ( que gran cantidad casi ilimitada de basura que tiene el océano de este videojuego) además de poder ir encontrando islas desiertas de mayor o menor tamaño y en donde puedes ir encontrado diferentes materiales así como diferentes fuentes de alimento. Este título se puede jugar en multijugador supuestamente hasta 8 jugadores al mismo tiempo, pero para ello debes crear un mundo en donde una sola persona será el Host de manera que si dicha persona no está presente los demás no podrán ingresar al mundo a jugar.

Empezamos la aventura en una pequeña balsa de madera la cual está hecha por bloques rectangulares de manera y plástico y que apenas tienes espacio suficiente para moverte, en todo momento por el agua van pasando objetos básicos como tablas de manera, hojas de palmera, embaces y pedazos de plásticos los cuales podrás recoger utilizando un pequeño gancho de plástico el cual lanzas para capturar los objetos y atraerlos hasta ti sin tener que entrar al agua, también puedes recoger los objetos cuando pasan bastante cerca de la balsa o simplemente saltando al agua e ir nadado hasta ellos pero esta última opción es la menos recomendable de todas debido a que prácticamente apenas entras al agua un tiburón llegara a atacarte una y otra vez hasta que logre reducirte toda la salud o hasta que tu vuelvas a subir encima la balsa.

Para poder ir expandiendo la balsa es tan sencillo como ir recogiendo madera y plástico para hacer las plataformas y para poder construir las plataformas debes crear el martillo básico el cual también puedes crear rápidamente sin ningún problema con los materiales básicos que están flotando por el océano. También pueden aparecer barriles o cajas de madera que pueden tener una buena cantidad de objetos básico o algunos otros objetos menos comunes como trozos de chátara, piedras, cuerda, planos de construcción y algunos otros objetos. Algo importante a tener en cuenta es que el tiburón puede llegar a atacar la balsa y destruir segmentos por lo cual debes crear rápidamente una lanza de madera para lograr atacarlo y evitar que destruya parte de tu balsa.

Para esta partida decidimos jugar @brataka, @gabrielserra y yo en el mundo de @ikasumanera de manera que el seria el Host de la partida, al comenzar en un nuevo mundo desde el principio lo primero que teníamos que hacer era lo más básico en toda partida, recoger una gran cantidad de recursos básico para lograr expandir la balsa y construir los objetos necesarios para poder sobrevivir como lo son la mesa de desalinización con la cual convertimos el agua de mar en agua potable además de una pequeña parrilla para poder cocinar los alimentos como los pescados o verduras que se consigan en las islas o barriles de madera, en un principio todos estábamos recogiendo materiales y dándoselos a IK quien estaba a cargo de ir expandiendo la pequeña balsa pero a los pocos minutos tuvimos la suerte de encontrar rápidamente una pequeña isla la cual a pesar de no tener muchos objetos diferentes para recolectar si nos sirvió para poder reunir más chatarra, madera, piedras, arena, arcilla y más. Luego de un buen tiempo en la isla decidimos volver a navegar en el océano a bordo de la pequeña balsa en busca de materiales básicos y más islas para recolectar materiales y objetos.

Debido a ciertos inconvenientes a la hora de partir de la isla tuvimos que dejar atrás a Gab quien estaba AFK y cuando volvió tuvo que ahogarse en el agua para poder aparecer nuevamente en la balsa y fue aquí en donde nos dimos cuenta que, aunque el aire se agota bastante rápido cuando estas debajo del agua el esperar hasta perder el conocimiento ahogándote demora bastante más tiempo del esperado, al seleccionar “reaparecer en la balsa” en lugar de esperar a que un compañero te rescate pierdes muy pocos objetos de tu inventario y al estar empezando y no tener prácticamente nada de valor en el inventario esto no significaba ningún inconveniente. Seguimos navegando hasta llegar a otra isla la cual saquear y cada vez vamos mejorando más la pequeña balsa, una de las mejoras que debemos hacer es el ancla reutilizable para poder dejar la balsa quieta al lado de una isla sin que se aleje sola y es que con el ancla que estuvimos en las primeras islas la misma se rompe al levantarla por lo cual debes fabricar una nueva en cada ocasión y gastar más materiales de los necesarios. Raft a simple vista puede resultar sencillo, pero cuenta con una gran cantidad de contenido y muchos objetos para construir lo cual termina resultado en un título bastante divertido.
