My first dcrops reward chest!

Reward chests are a great way to get extra seeds and resources without needing to buy them from other players (and the only way in game to do so). I'm a small farmer, so it took me a while to complete my first rewards chest, but I finally made it with some planning.

Some advice to other small farmers and new players:

• You're going to need probably 4-5 plots minimum to complete a chest in a single season.
• If you can't complete all quests in one season, things get a lot harder. When the season ends, those quests lock. You can't re-roll them unless you re-roll everything. This means you'd have to wait until that season comes back to finish!
• For the first two seasons, don't worry about quests. Just harvest and sell your crops for CROP tokens. You'll need these to re-roll quests.
• Each quest re-roll costs 10 CROP, so you probably want ~100 CROP before you decide to tackle a chest. This just makes sure you can get rid of any bad quests (like plant 4 legendary crops).
• At the start of a new season, refresh all your quests (which you can do for free). You'll get mostly quests related to the current season.
• Re-roll any you can't complete.
• Pay attention to how long plants will take to mature when deciding what you can complete. If one quest is going to require all your plots for 12 days, re-roll it.

If you pay attention to the quests I completed, most were spring, but 2 were summer. I decided to keep them because it was the next season and made it a bit easier to complete by giving me more time. This is ideal if you have even fewer plots than I do.

Lastly, I planted my four mystery seeds because I didn't have many summer seeds. I ended up with 3x Turnips (common) and 1x Watermelon (rare). I'm not going to try for this season's reward chest, but will refresh them in the fall and see if I get a good roll.

Small farmers have to plan a bit, but it's worth it!
