This is another week of our lovely and amazing event on Hive, Afri-tunes. This is the 22nd week of our Afri-tunes event.
For this week, I'll be playing an Afro-beat song by the renowned Nigerian Musician, Simi. The title of the song is Joromi.
Whenever we hear the title, Joromi our minds flashback to the Legendary Sir. Victor Uwaifo Highlife song titled Joromi. He was the first to use the titled and word Joromi to compose a song. I can remember doing a small cover of his High Life Joromi song as an entry for Afri-tunes Week 2, or weekend 2 (as we called it that time).

However, Simi's Joromi is somewhat different from Victor Uwaifo's.
Well, I'm not here to give a critical analysis on the difference. Instead, I'm hear to share the wonderful music to you.
What inspired me? 🤔
I think I just wanted to present Simi's song for this week. I had to choose between Smile for me, Duduke and Joromi. So, Joromi won the battle and I had to record it yesterday Night.
I played the song with my lead guitar in 5 different layers:
I hope you enjoy this piece amidst it's obvious unprofessionalism.
Joromi Joromi
I want you to love me

Kiode? Kilode o?
Why you no dey call me
Kilode baby?
