I definitely tell them that dance, and especially Hindu dance, attracts me and moves me a lot, it motivates me, in all my life few things make me feel like dancing does, and this dance called "Mangala Charam" I love and it thrills, it is very brilliant, it is a well-known classic, it is super representative of the Odissi culture.

As I said, the Odissi is one of the oldest dances on earth, and it is between the two classical and oldest in India, since previously it was not known as a dance, but as a worship for the demigods and deities, it is a very spiritual and meaningful ritual, there are even rules that must be respected to carry out this worship. The ornaments and clothing should be kept away from other common clothing, before dancing you must recite a mantra and you should not eat with the clothing or ornaments on, these are some of the important rules.

The Odissi comes from the Orissa region, specifically and is a soft, lyrical dance, where the flowing lines are punctuated by pauses in which sculptural poses are adopted, representations that can be seen on the walls of some temples. This dance is performed through its own language with the positions of the legs, head movements, eye movements, body movements, hand gestures, rhythmic footwork, jumps and turns. Odissi executions are replete with traditional pieces, some from ancient times, when they were performed in temples as spiritual work.

Mangalacharan is the first element of an Odissi performance and has a number of smaller elements within it. Mangalacharn is a summoning element of Odissi and is therefore an essential part of it. In Mangalacharan, the dancer stands first in Sthai Bhangi, which is a tribhanga pose, with a handful of flowers in Puspaputa even. An essential component of the dance is when the musician begins to beat his drum, the dancer takes a few steps back and drops the flowers to the ground as a show of respect to the Ranga Bhumi.

Puspanjali in Mangalcharn is followed by Sama Sthanaka and then the dancer soon takes a Chauka pose and dances in that particular pose for a while.Mangalcharan also involves the process of Bhumi Pranam in the performance of the dance. In Bhumi Pranam, the dancer is required to sit on his toes and touch the ground with both hands and then touch the ground with the help of his forehead. This is a small part of the Mangala Charam, the Which I will break down into four parts.
