The wise Solomon wrote in the book of Proverbs chapter 14, verse 8: **"He who is wise and shrewd knows where he is going; fools are deceived by their own foolishness.

On a warm morning, Uncle Rabbit was gathering carrots to prepare his favorite food, when he heard a great roar nearby that frightened him. It was Uncle Tiger, who was looking for something to hunt. Uncle Tiger was a big, strong feline, who frightened the small animals in the bush, but not the cunning Uncle Rabbit, known everywhere for his ingenuity.

Upon seeing Uncle Rabbit, Uncle Tiger exclaimed: "I found you, Uncle Rabbit! You can't escape me this time, and you will be my lunch for the day.

But Uncle Rabbit was not willing to let himself be eaten, so he began to think of a solution. He looked around and spotted some big rocks on top of a hill, and he had an idea. So he said to Uncle Tiger: I am a small prey with little meat, why settle for me when you can get a bigger and more succulent feast, being so big and strong? You see, up on the hill there is a herd of cows. I can go up there quickly and throw you a heifer for you.

Uncle Tiger looked up and, as the sunlight was shining directly into his eyes, he could only make out the shadow of some lumps in the distance. Confident in the words of Uncle Rabbit, whom he took for a weak and cowardly man, he accepted the offer.

Neither short nor lazy, Uncle Rabbit climbed up the hill and dragged one of the heavy rocks to the edge of the cliff, and from there he shouted to Uncle Tiger: Uncle Tiger, open your arms so that you can grab the heifer!

Then the big and fierce Uncle Tiger opened his arms, and the rock fell on him, leaving a huge bump on his big head that prevented him from hunting for several days. And once again, Uncle Rabbit was saved by his cunning and not by brute strength.

My people, what can we learn from this story: cunning is better than strength.

This is a story from the Venezuelan popular tradition, Tío Tigre is the representation of people who believe they are superior to others, either because they feel big or strong, or because they believe they instill fear. For that reason, they are confident in their ability to intimidate and tend to underestimate others.

On the other hand, Uncle Rabbit represents those intelligent people who act shrewdly in the face of difficult situations, even if they seem small and weak. In this way, they manage to overcome the most challenging circumstances and overcome the threats of the strongest.

Si hoy nos toca evaluarnos, ¿quién serias tú?¿Tío tigre o tío conejo?

If it were our turn to evaluate ourselves today, who would you be: Uncle Tiger or Uncle Rabbit?

If you are like Uncle Tiger, you belong to the group of people who talk much more than they think and sometimes say more than they know. Normally, this is a self-defense mechanism against the fear of baring ourselves emotionally and completely to someone.

For this reason, if we are not attentive, we could lose great and valuable people who are not interested in having around someone who only likes to impose, threaten, instill fear or make everyone believe that they are superior.

Let's be of those who always have a space for new learning, all the people around us have something to teach us, even if they are apparently small or without any title or renown. Do not underestimate, do not label before the time and, from there, let us cultivate healthy relationships from which there is always something to learn.

There are wonderful people who would do things that we would never have imagined and there are others who contribute at the exact moment that grain of sand that you did not count on.

Let's think about that and remember our proverb for today, "He who is wise and shrewd knows where he is going; fools are deceived by their own folly."
