El sabio Salomón escribió en el libro de proverbios capítulo 21, versículo 2: “Al hombre le parece bien todo lo que hace, pero Dios es quien juzga las intenciones.”

The wise Solomon wrote in the book of Proverbs chapter 21, verse 2: "Everything that a man does seems right to him, but it is God who judges the intentions ".

Había un hombre que tenía cuatro hijos, éste intentaba enseñarles a ser más tolerantes, a darle tiempo a todo y a no juzgar las cosas tan de prisa; para ello, los envió a cada uno por temporadas a observar un árbol de peras que estaba a gran distancia.

There was a man who had four sons, he tried to teach them to be more tolerant, to give time to everything and not to judge things so hastily; to this end, he sent them each seasonally to observe a pear tree that was at a great distance.

El primer hijo fue en el invierno, el segundo en la primavera, el tercero en el verano y el hijo más joven en el otoño. Cuando se cumplió un año, todos ellos habían ido y regresado, él los llamo y juntos les pidió que describieran lo que habían visto.

The first son went in the winter, the second in the spring, the third in the summer, and the youngest son in the fall. When a year had passed, they had all gone and returned, he called them together and asked them to describe what they had seen.

El primer hijo menciono que el árbol era horrible, doblado y retorcido. El segundo dijo que no, que eso era falso, que el con sus ojos vio que el árbol estaba cubierto con brotes verdes y se notaba lleno de vida. El tercer hijo no estuvo de acuerdo, dijo que estaba cargado de flores, que tenía un aroma muy dulce y se veía hermoso. Era el árbol más hermoso que jamás había visto. Lo que describió el último hijo, no concordó con lo que habían visto sus hermanos, dijo que el árbol estaba maduro y estaba marchitándose.

The first son mentioned that the tree was horrible, bent and twisted. The second son said no, that this was false, that with his eyes he saw that the tree was covered with green shoots and looked full of life. The third son disagreed, he said it was loaded with blossoms, it had a very sweet scent and looked beautiful. It was the most beautiful tree he had ever seen. What the last son described did not agree with what his brothers had seen, he said the tree was ripe and was withering.

Entonces el hombre les explicó a sus hijos que todos tenían razón, porque cada uno de ellos solo había visto una de las estaciones de la vida del árbol, en algunas ocasiones se mostraba feo, en otras reverdeciendo y en otras estaba frondoso y fuerte. Ese día los jóvenes aprendieron que no se debe juzgar a un árbol, o a una persona, por sólo ver una de sus temporadas.

Then the man explained to his sons that they were all right, because each of them had only seen one of the seasons of the tree's life, sometimes it was ugly, sometimes it was greening and sometimes it was lush and strong. That day the young people learned that you should not judge a tree, or a person, by only seeing one of its seasons.

Mi gente, ¿Cuántas veces nos hemos quedado con una idea equivocada sobre una persona solo por haber visto una de sus temporadas desfavorables?

My people, how many times have we gotten the wrong idea about a person just because we have seen one of their unfavorable seasons?

Lamentablemente muchas veces somos implacables a la hora de juzgar, nos hacemos ideas erradas y descalificamos a una persona por alguna conducta que forma parte de un mal tiempo o una mala temporada. Al igual que le árbol, todos atravesamos estaciones difíciles, pero no son las estaciones lo que nos definen sino la esencia que llevamos por dentro.

Unfortunately we are often relentless in our judgments, we get misconceptions and disqualify a person because of some behavior that is part of a bad season or a bad season. Just like the tree, we all go through difficult seasons, but it is not the seasons that define us but the essence we carry inside.

«No dejes que el dolor de alguna estación destruya la dicha del resto. No juzgues la vida ni la gente, sólo por una estación difícil».

"Don't let the pain of one season destroy the joy of the rest. Don't judge life or people, just because of one difficult season."

“No juzguen, y no se les juzgará. No condenen, y no se les condenará. Perdonen, y se les perdonará.” Lucas 6:37-38

Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. " Luke 6:37-38

Recordemos que todos somos cambiantes, en cualquier punto de la vida podemos mejorar y abandonar estaciones duras y dolorosas, o las que nos hacen sentir avergonzados.

Let us remember that we are all changeable, at any point in life we can improve and abandon hard and painful seasons, or those that make us feel ashamed.
