Single-staking assets for yield farming is not a new concept. What is a new concept is single-sided staking assets that are actually productive.

Thorchain is implenenting a synthetic RUNE protocol-owned liquidity mechanic. This will allow native BTC holders, for example, to deposit BTC by itself into a Thorchain pool and only be exposed to BTC upside and downside (no Impermanent Loss).
