Turismo en Táchira: Visita a la Mina Los Parra C.A en Lobatera

Seguimos conociendo Lobatera, ubicada en el Estado Táchira - Venezuela y esta vez hice algo que nunca había hecho. Visitar la Mina Los Parras C.A, una mina privada. Esta tiene aproximadamente 400 metros de profundidad, y los mineros bajan hasta allí a trabajar y suben con carretillas bastante cargadas. Es un trabajo duro y bastante riesgoso.

We continued visiting Lobatera, located in the State of Táchira - Venezuela and this time I did something I had never done before. Visit the Los Parras C.A. Mine, a private mine. This mine is approximately 400 meters deep, and the miners go down there to work and climb with loaded wheelbarrows. It is hard work and quite risky.

Yo al principio no tenía miedo de entrar, pero estando adentro empezó a faltarme la respiración y eso que solo descendimos solo 45 metros. Pensé que era por el descenso, pero consulte con mi hermano y con las otras personas que bajaron conmigo y yo era la única que me sentía así. Ahí entendí, que quizás yo era claustrofóbica y no lo sabía. Porque luego de sentir esa sensación, empecé a desesperarme un poco, porque no salíamos rápido de allí. Era la primera vez que experimentaba algo así, sin embargo, mantuve el autocontrol, empecé a respirar más pausado y todo termino bien, no hui despavorida jaja.

At first I wasn't afraid to go in, but when I was inside I began to feel short of breath, even though we only descended 45 meters. I thought it was because of the descent, but I consulted my brother and the other people who went down with me and I was the only one who felt that way. That's when I understood that maybe I was claustrophobic and didn't know it. Because after I felt that sensation, I started to despair a little bit, because we were not getting out of there fast. It was the first time I experienced something like that, however, I kept my self-control, I started to breathe more slowly and everything ended well, I didn't run away in panic haha.

Lo más curioso de esta mina, es que a sus 45 metros hay una pequeña capilla, construida por los mineros y bendecida e inaugurada por el sacerdote de la zona. Cualquiera podría pensar, ¿Por qué hay una capilla en ese lugar? ¿Son muy devotos los aldeanos?, y la razón principal es que hubo un accidente dentro de la mina y los mineros decidieron construir esta humilde capilla, en honor a las victimas que murieron en el suceso.

The most curious thing about this mine is that at its 45 meters there is a small chapel, built by the miners and blessed and inaugurated by the priest of the area. Anyone might think, Why is there a chapel in that place? Are the villagers very devout?, and the main reason is that there was an accident inside the mine and the miners decided to build this humble chapel, in honor of the victims who died in the event.
