Beautiful timeless geological features on the south Cape coast of Africa

Welcome to another edition of the Shape of the Cape with your host Julescape. Today our video clip shows the vast open expanse of the Indian Ocean looking down from the clifftops of the south Cape coastline. The view is epic.
Down below we can see an amazingly attractive and balanced geological design. The rock is carved in to epic triangular shapes by the erosion of the sea over thousands of years. And counter-balanced behind them is a couple of matching caves. The picture is totally natural and yet has a composition and balance to it, that makes it look beautifully arranged by a conscious hand.
The scene conjures up in my imagination the feeling of being in a sacred space, or zen garden. Nature really has a sense of harmony and pattern to it, and the erosion is based on the stratification of the rock, so sometimes it is easy to see the hand of the divine in nature. If that were the case, then it implies that all of the earth and her inhabitants – that are products of nature – are also divinely inspired. I like to remember that as much as possible.
Take a look at the video clip and get a glimpse of the awesome geological rock designs. This is the ancestral roaming ground of the coastal tribe of the Khoi/San bushmen indigenous people. They existed here before any Bantu tribes came south and before any European settlers and traders arrived.
Other than that, whales come here annually for their calving from around August until October. The coast is a nurturing and attractive shelter place for the ocean’s biggest creatures. So both on land and at sea the conditions facilitate life and health. You will really love it when you come to visit.
