    About :

Greetings and welcome to another edition of the Shape of the Cape with your host Julescape. I am situated in such a beautiful part of the planet, so I take these video clips to share the experience with you. 3Speak does not allow my photos in the thumbnail, as 3mb is too big for 3Speak, so I’m forced to use little pixabay.com pictures that I download for free to use as thumbnails. It detracts from my personal photos, but that is the problem with 3Speak, not with me.

I would put more photos in my post if they would allow it, but I guess the video clip says it all, so no loss. This week and next I am at a better wifi spot so am taking the opportunity to upload my video clips during this time. Back at my usual abode, the wifi is weaker and so I am not able to upload video onto 3Speak quite as easily. Therefore now is the opportunity.

Not that these video clips get more than one or two views, so whatever. It means little to the world. Thanks to the one or two of you who actually bother to look at the video. Not that I have anything worth watching of course, although the view is great and you get to see Africa, for what it’s worth.

Anyway, I love hiking about the cliff tops and climbing down to the sea below, and I get to do it all year long, so I am in as close to paradise as you can get on the planet. All the time and space I could with for. I hope you are as well situated. If not then you should do something about it. The planet is here for us all. Unless you live under a dictatorship of course, like the Chinese, and their neighbors. Life is tragic for some poor souls born in the wrong place at the wrong time in history. I have a window of bliss in this lifetime thanks to being born on the south coast fo Africa. IN years to come the planet may be quite different politically, compared to now. Freedom may be gone or conditions may be worse. So at least I can capture the last few moments of beauty and freedom that this place provides.

Lockdown has left us all stuck in our places, with no possibility of international travel. Certainly here in South Africa we cannot leave and you cannot enter. I am luckily on the beautiful side of that divide. I hope you are too wherever you are. Who knows if international borders will open up any time in the coming months.

Fortunately it is so beautiful here that even if the borders remained closed for life, I would still be in paradise, here on the south Cape coast of Africa. Can you say the same? Paradise is of course a state of mind. You take your mind with you wherever you go. You could be in a geographically exquisite place but be miserable if that is the nature of your mind. I choose to be blissful.

Fortunately the environment facilitates a state of blissful consciousness. The climate and all the natural surroundings are pleasant. There are other places that are more severe, where a blissful state may be harder to glimpse, so I have it lucky here. Whether karma or fate or whatever, I am in a great location, so come visit if the borders ever allow it. I could be penniless here and still be in a beautiful place. Not many people can say the same thing on the planet today.

So if you are keen on uplifting your state of consciousness then you are welcome to join me here in paradise. It beats living in the city any day. When the coming rumored food shortages and economic collapse starts, I will be better situated by being here in this remote area. Who knows what the future will bring. I hear so much FUD (fear uncertainty doubt) that it’s like an apocalypse coming.

Therefore I am here in the now, where every day is like the next, and all of them are sublime. The now is the only place to find yourself, so I arrange to find the now moment here as you can see in this video clip. As a monk, I decided at the age of nineteen never to get married of have kids, and I made the best decision ever back then.

That’s how I have found paradise in the now. I have my priorities, and they do not require family or money or possessions. I require freedom, open space in nature by the sea, and time. And I have them all. It’s as simple as that. We choose our path, our burden. You do it to yourself, whatever state you find yourself in. It is due to your choices. I chose this beautiful life of peace and I have found my goal.

I hope you have the chance to find yours. We are all individuals so what works for me is not the same as what works for you obviously. You have to find your balance, your environment and lifestyle to fit your psychological and health requirements. Renouncing family and career was my ideal choice. It freed me from any burdens, and now I can come here to my cave to meditate, as you see in this video clip, and I have found peace and happiness in this simplicity. What have you found?
